Just came here to say the FL’s father and the ML are both the cutest things I’ve ever seen!! I can hardly stand it!! Especially the father — his face is just adorable 🥰 ❤️❤️ Weird to say about a grown man, but whatever lol. Also love in episode 10 when the ML is so proud of knowing how to change a doorknob and the FL pats him on the head. Love the cuteness and sweetness of that moment! I think this episode has been my favorite so far.
O maybe u need to watch the drama all over again. She made it legal. Ask the law.
Just because something is legal doesn’t mean it’s right. There have been many things that are laws but are far from just. So your continuously saying “she made it legal” (interesting wording btw) doesn’t help your case. Bottom line: She was a trash character who finally took a couple of steps towards human decency in the last episode. The end.
Finally I see someone who actually understood characters. Yess ml’s mom z my fvrt character. I loved her. She…
The growth is in the fact that GJ is no longer afraid to set boundaries and speak up, whereas before he didn’t dare say or do anything that would upset his father or go against him for fear of losing the little affection or approval he threw his way. Meanwhile, both parents are still wallowing in their arrogance and parental incompetence. I mean, most times children have their parents as role models, but in this case they could learn lots from GJ about just being a decent human being.

When the older sister decided to join his company he literally went toe to toe with his father who refused to accept her resignation. And there was another instance as well.
He doesn’t need to hate him and cease calling him father to signal growth; he can still respect him and have love for him despite how he’s been treated. In fact, that shows more maturity and integrity than EITHER parent has.
Aah, the mum is greedy. If you find the logic to her behavior, it means you're just as bad.
That’s a question for the thugs who actually robbed (or attempted to rob, in the case of the Love Capital folks) someone. I’m assuming you’re not referring to the family since they (1) took money they found buried in the woods (robbery assumes an actual victim and the use of force) (2)didn’t actually harm anyone (3) returned ALL of the money they used, and (4) admitted guilt and are being RIGHTFULLY held accountable for what they did. Right??

“It's funny how often people talk about her greed here, although this money was originally hers. Yes, it's not very fair, but it's legal. At the same time, people here defend DaRim's family, who decided to use other people's money.”
Did we forget the part where her WHOLE INHERITANCE is likely based on “other people’s money”!! Wrong is wrong, and the family is paying the price for their actions, but at least be consistent.
Also, just because something is legal doesn’t mean it’s right. Many things have wielded the authority of law but were far from being just. The fact that she can “legally” possess stolen money doesn’t make her an innocent party. To support that is, again, wildly inconsistent.

As an ACTUAL mom, I can tell you there’s no way I’d leave my son to fend for himself in that situation. Any real parent would feel the same. The rationalizations for this character have reached an all-time low.

“He choose the dry cleaners AND his mom.”
THIS!! Some folks just don’t understand this. Is he only a “good son” if she alone is the center of his world? That would actually be very sad and unhealthy. As a mother, I would never want or expect that from my child.
Well put and agree totally. Never understood the hate for the chief of police here. She did her job.
Of course it’s fictional lol. Yet, to claim that this discussion is only about law and order and not also about morality is clearly untrue. Your acknowledgment of the role personal characteristics play on our perspectives regarding these characters actually supports that point. For example, your characterization (in another comment) of GJ’s mom’s intentional disregard for tax law as just “tax evasion bull” — where’s the respect for “law and order” there? So clearly, that’s not all it’s about.
Well put and agree totally. Never understood the hate for the chief of police here. She did her job.
If it’s only about law and order then why the support for GJ’s mom—a tax evader and a person whose inheritance is based on a legacy of criminal activity?

Why the personal attack on @shallok’s character? And what does your support of GJ’s mother say about you? Probably not what you think it does since she herself is a thief and very questionable “mother.”
Well put and agree totally. Never understood the hate for the chief of police here. She did her job.
It’s not so much that people are ok with theft as much as it is the utter unlikeability of GJ’s mom. Zero self-awareness coupled with malignant narcissism is an ugly combination. Plus, if she were a real mother (emphasis on IF), she’d have to admit that if she were in DR’s mom’s place she would have been tempted to do the same thing. Not that that would excuse the family’s actions, but it would show some dimension to her character and make her more tolerable. But again, self-awareness and empathy have escaped her.
I'm so confused by the people supporting the family despite the theft. Yes, Gang Ju's mom committed tax evasion…
Probably because up to this point the so-called mom has faced no consequences while at least the family has admitted to their wrongdoing and paid the price. Even besides that, her superior and nasty attitude doesn’t incline most people to root for her, and this last episode certainly didn’t do her any favors.
When they stole, they didn't know whose money it was. It could have been someone's honestly earned money, but…
Exactly. What’s mind boggling to me is that people who defend GJ’s mom are quick to judge the family for stealing but seem to have no problem with the fact that this money was most likely dirty to begin with, which makes her a receiver of stolen goods anyway (not to mention a tax evader). To call the family thieves is really the pot calling the kettle black in her case.
Aah, the mum is greedy. If you find the logic to her behavior, it means you're just as bad.
Well said. It’s ridiculous how a few are trying to excuse her behavior. It’s everybody’s fault but hers. How convenient. Quite honestly, I feel like she doesn’t have the emotional maturity to be a parent; she’s still a child herself, apparently, who can’t comprehend that it’s possible for her son to love and treasure other people as much as he does her. But I guess that’s how narcissists are.

I’m done talking about the mother 🤦🏽♀️
