I think the two dramas share the same universe so I guess we might get like some little easter eggs here and there like Park Ji bins character for example the storys are probably not connected with each other And a parent story just means it is the "Main" story and the other one a "side" story kinda or just that they share the same universe and the one released first would then be the parent story Hope that helped😊😅
