Oh to be on the receiving end of a drunk call like that from Yang Hua. That was so endearing. “You are priceless.” “You are all the good things in the world.” “I want to give you all I have.” Sure, cheesy, but goodness, that was so endearing. 🥺

They are wasting the potential of this show to be this perfect light hearted romcom I could happily rewatch when I feel moody or down. The second couple narrative brings nothing to the plot, not to mention so ridiculous and offensive! This could have been 24 episodes show if properly edited. It’s amazing how with less focus on the mains love line, they managed to still sort of develop it, I can actually believe they fell in love. I guess that is thanks Shuxin and Bin cos they have palpable chemistry even in scenes that are not intimate lol.

Exactly! I wish they write their story like a cautionary tale lol and the MR’s bestie ends up with MR’s brother who’s obviously in love with her.

Also, i kind of understand why they cut that fiery kiss scene. ZY left the next day. He just left her. He would be the ultimate jerk if it was shown that he kissed her back, something happened, then left the country the next day, that’s totally not cool. Plus she was drunk. In the next scene, when MR woke up, it seems that she remembered only kissing his cheek. I could live with that.

The second ML is kind of fucked up. He’s lying about a disability. Not cool and just the whole set up is fucked up. This is totally not romantic. Give me back my main couple screen time.
