I don`t like this time travel plot but if Ji Sung will accept the role in this drama maybe the writing is good. I keep an eye on it. I am curious who plays the vixen wife.

It could be her. The female lead plays his wife and she is a villainess. Hwang Jung Eum can play a vixen character well.

The law genre I don`t really mind but I don`t like the plot where he will wake up in the past after he was killed. Let see how it goes. I like Ji sung. I read the webton`s synopsis so I am curious who will play the wife who is a villainess.

Love triangle- no, happy ending- yes!

Nam Ji Ah is not a character in the drama but she appears in the beginning and at the end of the show as a cameo. Lee Yeon`s love for her doesn`t change. The female lead in S2, Ryu Hong Joo, has a crush for Lee Yeon since they were kids but they will remain friends.
The romance tag is for Lee Rang. He will fall in love in this season.

It is not really a sequel. Probably, I am not the right person to comment because I did not watch the first season but I think S2 stands on its own. The only continuation from the first season are Lee Yeon and Shin Joo who will get back in time. The other characters, whether new or familiar from the first season, live their lives in 1938, so the story is not a continuation of the the one of first season.
In general, time travel is a complicated plot. The only thing that needs an explanation is how the events of S2 will change or not some events from S1. Taluipa said to Lee Yeon in the first episode that he won`t change anything but it is not convincing. Unless it is a paralel universe. They did not explain it. I am thinking of Lee Rang`s faith. No way he will have the same resentments towards his brother (in the modern times) after the events from S2.
Since they did not show anything after Lee Yeon returned in the present, except of his reunion with his wife, we don`t know anything. Probably, events from S1 are still in stone but without an explanation from the writer. We should ignore the concequences of time traveling because the writer wants us to do it.
The writer let some questions to be answered in S3 (because they made S2 with S3 in mind) but even if there won`t be one, the events of S2 finished satisfactorily.

Me too. It was a lost oportunity . With little effort the writer could have give us a little spark for this cute couple.It was sad that Jung Suk was the only one who did not have a fantasy but I really thought the writer will give her one towards the end of the drama.

I hope they will work together in another project. I loved how nice he talked about Kim so yeon . He said in an interview post drama that his new role model is Kim So Yeon. 😊

I think A Virtuous Business was a good show. I really liked it but It would have been better if they would have been deviated from the kdrama format/tropes. The four women friendship was the best part of this show, they highlighted some subjects from society but once again, they proved that the romance lacks in kdramas. Jung Sook and Do Hyun made a good couple. They were sweet but they totally wasted their potential. Why they can`t write a good romance? I have lost the last hope I had that I will be satisfied with a romance in kdramas.

We knew that they liked each other, they showed the long looks and holding hands but other than that .... nada, nothing, niente. I know they were kind of reserved persons but come on....
I have to thank the writer that allowed Jung Suk to call him by name. 😂 I thought she will call him detective until the end. I don`t like when I hear honorifics with people who are supposed to be in love.

I totally agree. They showed almost in every episode how the girls worked on their sales and how Jung Suk came with different ideas to improve sellings. It is much more than they showed in the original series. And it is more than what they showed in other kdramas, when they usually forgot about the jobs of the characters.

I think I understand now why the writer wanted to incorporate the story of ilicit adoption case. Many Korean adoptees are searching for their past and some of them never find the truth. Even if Do Hyun was not the child of the kidnapper case, we found out another reality of that times.

It was not a prediction, it was a spoiler. Because this drama is a remake we knew this fact from the original show. In the British series, it was shown the baby clothes earlier and we knew all along she was the mother. It was very easy to guess. In the Korean drama, they did not give many hints and everything is a twist. They gave some hints in the lates episodes and built the moment of revelation but in a subtle way.
I am happy that Do Hyun will know the truth about his origins and make peace with this.

It was not that important. If you want to know I tell you that Geum hee was born in November 28, 1940. Her husband is five years older than her.
Young Bok was born in 1949 and her husband in 1953, Jung Suk`s birthday was August 17, 1961, Ju ri was born on March 3, 1966.

Depending what you like to see, what genre you like.
In `Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938` (2023), a fantasy drama, she was a strong female character, like a female fatale, a grey character. I liked her role there. You could watch it. It is the second season of the series but you can watch the second season without problem like I did. Or you could watch both dramas.
`All About Eve (2000)` and `Penthouse (2020)` are makjang dramas, where she was the female antagonist. 20 years apart from each dramas, where she had the only two villain roles of her career but both were memorable.
She doesn`t have many romantic comedies: Beating Again/Falling for Innocence (2015), `I Need Romance 3 (2014) `(noona romance) and Prosecutor Princess(2010).
`Dr Champ` (2010) is a warm sport drama without much angst, with a little romance.
Secret Mother (2018) a mystery show. It has woman building friendship and doesn`t have romance.
Iris (2009) and Two Weeks (2013) are action dramas. She did not have the first lead role but it was an important part in both.
She did two weekend family dramas of 50 episodes (Happy Home and Mother of Mine).

I am almost sure her parents did not want her to have the baby because they did not want the scandal to have a daugher with a baby without a husband. I wonder who is/was the father.
I don`t know if they forced her to give the baby or she decided that her baby was better with two parents in an adoption after her child almost died. I think it is the later but well see.

I like how they incorporated the original plot. I like that they showed more about the friendship, and how Jung Suk came with lots of idea to improve sales and how she was the leader of the group. I also liked that they build the romance better. Because they make Do hyun a main character, and we know that the main romance is taking a lot of time in the episodes, Ju Ri`s romance was not developed much and maybe it would have been better to cut the arson and kidnapping case but overall, I am pleased how this remake was made.
I also would have want to see Jung Suk a little more daring in the romance (not that old fashioned like her friends noticed) but I can`t ask too much from a kdrama. I am glad that she is comunicating well what she is in her mind, that she is taking initiative sometimes. She evolved as a character.
I will miss this drama. I liked it very much.
