I'm not really sure myself as I'm an international fan so I don't really know whos popular over in Thailand and who isnt haha. I think he in general was not really in any major shows though after LBC aside from The Stranded? So that could also be why :0 I think he said he has a few projects lined up for the future, hope they're good!

Yeah I think that's it, they're still trying to milk what they can from what's left of PerthSaint. Even when I only knew him from LBC I thought he was very talented, especially so young! His acting in The Stranded was very good so I'm exited to see what he does as he continues to venture into other things beside BL :)

Exactly like you said I think they should've just scrapped his character this season as well :-/ But we all know these companies are all hungry for money so of course they're gonna try and rake all the money they can by keeping Perth associated with this especially with his growing popularity

Honestly it's barely even following the novel either aside from the AePete breakup.... Of course things cant and wont always be kept the same when you adapt a novel into a show and the writing can stray, especially in this case because we are missing half of the main couple's narrative. But there were just so many things beside that that I just don't understand why they changed them in the show when they were totally able to keep them the same and have a much better flow/impact. The writing on this is seriously just awful and rushed and it shows

Basically Perth's managers at the time were very evil to Saint. They called him a prostitute and just made very nasty comments about him on social media... They would also purposefully plan events where Saint was already booked/wouldn't be able to attend in order to exclude him. It was just a very ugly, unfair situation to both Saint and Perth, especially because it was their first big acting jobs and they were both so young

Yeah I do not think anyone is going to fill Pete's shoes and they couldn't even if they tried. Perth also said that he did not want Ae to be paired with anyone else, so yup like BlackMonk said I think we're just gonna see Ae be sad for the majority of this season -_-

Yes my bad, I did not mean to make it seem like I was singling you out specifically I was just referring to it in general as one of the main reasons people say they find those comments by actors offensive

I keep seeing a lot of comments complaining about how Ae/Perth is annoying this season because all he does is cry and be sad but with Pete/Saint out of the picture what else can he really do. They didn't even bother to explain the breakup to the audience and I think that's also why people are getting so fed up- it's hard to feel sympathy when you don't even understand what's going on in the first place.

I sincerely doubt they will explain why they broke up or instead come up with some super lame excuse so I don't even think this is really a spoiler for the show but I'm putting one anyways just to be safe.
I read the novel and in the show they basically cut out the entire arc that lead up to AePete breaking up. It was not because they had a falling out or they didn't love each other anymore, that part they did keep the same at least. TLDR about 2 years after Love By Chance season 1 ends, Pete's dad finds out about them dating and basically tries to ruin Ae's life for not breaking up with his son, so Pete steps in and does what he has to in order to protect him which means moving to Germany. This part of the story is SUPER short compared to the rest of the novel. It's legit like the last 3-4 chapters and it is split between Ae and Pete's POV as well so, with Pete's part having to be completely cut out, they really are dragging on Ae's heartbreak and honestly for what? Just to keep Perth in the show and keep raking in money from his name ? It's been three episodes and still not even a peep about why they even broke up. I totally agree it's not fun to keep seeing Ae be sad and it's not like it's even adding anything to the story anymore at this point either. Truthfully I wish they just hadn't even put him in this season if they were gonna do him like this.

Honestly this whole season is just so disappointing, even if there are only 3 episodes out so far. It's a huge disservice to how Perth and Saint so wonderfully brought AePete to life in the first season. It's also upsetting to see how people are starting to dislike Ae because of this season's awful writing. I guess at least Perth is still killing it with his acting despite the mess he's been given lmao.

Anyway for anyone who is curious, Pete moves back to Thailand 3 years after whatever tf is happening in S2 occurs and he & Ae get back together <3
