WOW. This show gets better every episode and 6 & 7 blew me away. Did not expect any of this from when I watched episode 1. Cannot wait to see what the end of the show is like.
The best part of the show is the very strong but much-needed words of wisdom. Each episode has a point as the show touches on quite a few issues, and I love that. It's things that need to be said.
I watched the movie yesterday! The non-spoiler is: I am so disappointed! The trailer and the tags make it look…
Thanks for the review and comment - I'm gonna watch this still BUT that doesn't sound like something I want to go to the theater to see. I can save like 1000 yen and just rent the dvd in 6 months. Thanks!!!
That movie was way better than it had any right to be. Beautifully shot, great story, made me die inside.
It has a different director than most of the high&low stuff which explains why it feels different, bit I like the different tone because it's more of a side story than anything. And the three main movies are all under the main director anyways so there's ton of content.
Made me love the Amemiya bros. I totally understand why they have so many fans now.
I found this a bit lacking as a giant fan of the original series BUT it was still enjoyable. And I loved that they got to film at NASA, which shows the goodwill that NASA has for the series (they also let the anime use their logo, and are always thanked in the credits for it).
I just wish it had a bit more budget, or got a continuation, but at least we have the anime for those dying for more :) (or go read the manga!!!!)
Great article, though the gif you have for Sakyo is actually Shu Kato, played by Yuta Ozawa. But only noticed that because I only started watching the drama because of his actor who I absolutely adored in Ultraman Geed (as a really sweet and meek husband & father).
Went into it because I knew a few actors, came out loving the show. Almost done with s2 and then onto the movies!
