Occasionally the first male lead is not the guy who gets the girl so it could be that Myungsoo is the ML but not the main love interest. However, I've only ever seen such a scenario in other genres. I'm personally rooting for second lead as I prefer their chemistry and back story but I don't think there's much hope for that.

I hated the main plot twist. For me it sacrificed the heartwarming story at the centre of this science fiction in favour of pretentious nonsense. I stopped watching after that even though it was almost the end because I was so disappointed. I'm surprised more people aren't annoyed by it because for me it left the story feeling hollow. Up until then it was the best kdrama I ever saw so you can imagine how annoyed I feel.
