That's what I think too. If XZ was a fisherman at all the lovey scenes, it would take the viewer out of it.

XZ gets flustered when she asked for a name and she jokes if Yu Fu is his name aka fisherman aka his alter ego. Not sure about YY though, I think he just pulled a random name.

in the novel, he does lose his divine powers and is reduced to essentially like the powers of a regular immortal.

with the way the drama is going, I think it matches well with the novel so happy ending direction!

XY doesn't really open his identity to SL because 1) he is the last standing immortal and 2) hesitates to pursue his feelings which he has never been truly selfish before. Other than this hesitance, it is truly the only obstacle that prevents XY from pursing SL. For war between the two sides, if you mean the Heavens VS. Demons typa thing, not really. The misunderstandings are not that many, other his identity. Lots of teasing.

Once XY is in love, he'll do anything for SL. He's the type who would F the world if he can save SL> Rather than being super obsessed with the realms, he is more obsessed with her. LMAO...if you watched Hua Qian Gu (Journey of a Flower), where BZH would kill her for the world, XY would rather be in a world with SL than without her.

i really hope the moral arc of the book only takes a couple of episodes at most. I swear if they drag it out I'm going to be so ╥﹏╥

considering ZLY is the producer and the clips I've seen before, it aligns with the books pretty well. If they pull a princess agents ending I'm never ever watching chinese dramas again.

well, the book definitely ended in a good way. so, hopefully the drama stays the same : )

the actual male lead in the novel is Yu Mo but with the way the drama is going, not quite sure anymore. Happy ending for YD and YM; they get together.
