My advice about subbing names of places is not to literally translate the names. Lots of Chinese Dramas, instead of translating the name of places, they keep the Chinese Name. So, just replace the names of places with chinese romanization.

Tau is like to make. Hoa is like power (I really don't know). Nhap ma is translated to Ghost Aura (my translation). If you search online, the chinese translation of Tau Hoa Nhap Ma is the Qigong deviation but that really makes no sense as a readers of subtitles. In the context of the drama (I'm assuming you are translating the beginning, I struggled with the introduction part to) , it seemed as if the man was possessed almost by the demonic aura. So I would translate it to demonic aura possession, or something along those lines. Wanna do a compromise or something? Like you translate the first episode and I translated the second?

Yeah, Lao Dau and Nha Dau was hard to translate just because there isn't an accurate English translation. I chose Gramps just because it sounded more personal. It's probably inaccurate. Also, I tried putting clips on youtube but it was copyrighted in two minutes. oppsss

There's a Vietnamese audiobook on youtube called Chieu Dieu Truyen and it has all the chapters in the novel. I'm currently listening to it when I'm free.

I'm going to try to post up translated scenes on my instagram dramas_asian but when february break comes, I'm going to translate whole episodes. I have a clip of the first episode out. And honestly, same on the whole Vietnamese language barrier thing. I'm in the same boat because I don't know Chinese.

I can easily download the video, but I don't wanted it to be taken down because of copyright issues if I softsub it. The official channel (I think) has the video and I did request to translate but no answer?

I'm contemplating to sub it too because I've been busy. I tried using IMovie for episode 1, but its pretty horrible. I have 50% of the subtitles for episode 1, but I just have to hardsub it to the video.
