Lots happened during the creation of this series. Some back-and-forth between P'Kla and the author on X. Not exactly a fight, but more like a "he said, she said" case. But the author was rather very demanding on certain matters. I can name a few off the top of my head.

1. Insisting on Duang remaining the seme and Qin the uke just like in the novel (because TTP was not a fixed cp name at that time and fans wanted PTT dynamics too in the series, so she wanted clear assurances that it would only be DuangQin/TTP)
2. She HATED the outfits for Duang and Qin that were seen during the earlier Qs
3. Demanded to know the actor who'd play Marvis (at that time Gen5 wasn't even at DMD, so P'Kla asked her to wait but she went on a rant about that too)
4. According to her, the team wouldn't inform her about certain things she asked them (which is absurd because she wasn't involved in the series creation)
5. Complained that she wasn't invited on set or the team wouldn't inform her when the Qs were happening, which again ABSURD
6. Was very snarky and dismissive to the actors' fans and created many divisions within the fandom

These are just some of the issues I can remember right now.

So I don't think DMD could ever work again with her, which I do not mind because I doubt she is a very nice person to work with.

Where in the novel was it ever implied that Duang and Qin was a verse couple? Please tell me that chapter number.

Idc about her and my opinion of her isn't good at all for other reasons, but I'm tired of this talk that she asked for TTP to be fixed. She only asked for the dynamics of the couple she created in her book to stay fixed, as in the actor playing Duang should be the seme and Qin the uke IN the series.

She was aware that TTP didn't have a fixed name at that time, so she only wanted assurances from the series creators that the DuangQin dynamic wouldn't change because fans also wanted the PTT dynamic in the series. And personally, I think she was in her right to ask that because those are her characters and her creations. But she never demanded the actors to choose a fixed position outside of the series or make statements on that.

I don't think she is a very good person based on other incidents. I even blocked her on X when she was going on a rant about this and that, but I wouldn't blame her for why Teetee and Por decided to stick to TTP now. Idk how this misinfo snowballed to what it is now, but I guess the lack of proper Thai translators in the fandom at that time led to it.

The reasons for the cp being TTP now is a topic for another day.

All the people complaining about Tong/Pae must have watched a different series. The show never hinted once at them being a secret couple. The catfishing was just a plot device invented by the writers to bring Duang and Qin together in one place at the Loy Krathong fest.

And Pae's story remained true to the novel. He was dating a girl but we never ever got to meet her in the novel just like in the series. You can tell that the voice-over by Pae in Ep12 right after Kim explained why Tong didn't come to the Loy Krathong fest was added way later just to give you a little fanservice. It was never intended to make them a couple. You people made up your own theories about them and are now disappointed that they didn't get together.

It's just annoying me a lot that we have some people complaining that they should've cut-down DuangQin's scenes so they could've gotten more JamieMarvis or Tong/Pae when this series has always been about Duang and Qin. P'Kla mentioned early on that 95% of it was about Duang and Qin when the novel fans and TTP fans raised concerns. So I fail to understand why there are even such complaints when it was always clear what we were getting into.

PS: Good luck expecting a JamieMarvis sequel or even a Duang With You special episode when the relationship between DMD and the author has soured over the past year. The author completely ignored DWY throughout its broadcast. One post on X and that was it. I don't think we are getting any of her works through DMD again.

Afaik it wasn't a competition? Both duos just needed to put on a show at the university Open House event. Obviously there was a competitive spirit within Duang and Qin because Peem and Sol looked down upon them, but it wasn't a competition where there had to be a winner.

I don't think that was in the script. I think he fell down for real judging by Por's reaction, and Kla decided to keep it.🤣 But it was a nice callback to ep1 where Duang kinda fainted after the confession scene.

A very simple campus bl series but executed to perfection. Teetee and Por were the perfect Duang and Qin. This series wouldn't have worked as good as it did if not for TeeteePor's physical and emotional chemistry.

Huge appreciation to P'Kla too. He created Duang With You with so much love and care and tenderness. It was visible in each scene. I think this has become his best work to date.

Both set of friend groups were wonderful. You could easily believe that they were friends like how you could believe DuangQin were a couple so in love with each other.

I think I'd be okay without a special episode. I don't think it needs one. Episode 12 tied up everything so beautifully. Now I'm already looking forward to TeeteePor's next series.

Not OST, but the first song DuangQin sang for the Open House event is by Tattoo Colour. So it was a nice callback.

Me. I like them as individuals and as a pair. I'm just not bothered enough to care about their story in this series.

What do Khemjira and Shine's ratings have anything to do with Duang With You's rating? Should the other two series be rated higher because they're not a "silly campus bl series?" Please gtfo that high horse.

Extremely healthy. One of the healthiest relationships you'll ever see in any show. Qin doesn't seem very reciprocating at the beginning when Duang is pursuing him, but it gets better with each episode.
