Not sure if many people know but... A bit of a tear-jerking background story of this show, the original manga this show was adapted from was based on the real-life love story between the author and her husband, who was a member of a popular Japanese boy band in the 80s that the author was a huge fan of. Naoki was actually created based on the author’s husband and Kotoko was the author’s self-insert.
The original manga, unfortunately, was discontinued because the author passed away due to cranial haemorrhage. It never had a proper ending, with its last scene being Naoki asking Kotoko if she was pregnant.
For those of you who are not aware, the author’s husband was the executive producer of this show, and he was actually the one who wrote the ending where Kotoko gave birth to a daughter and lived happily ever after with Naoki in order to give the story “a happy ending that he and his wife never got”. He also mentioned that the only reason why he accepted the role when he was invited to be a part of the production team was to tell his wife, posthumously, that “when you were giving your all to love me, I had already fallen in love with you” and also because he wanted his name to be listed next to his wife’s again even after almost 2 decades.
That is why the love story between Kotoko and Naoki feels so true, and why the final scene where Kotoko and Naoki are holding their daughter’s hands on a stroll is a bit blurred - this is a happy ending that could never be fulfilled for the “real-life Kotoko and Naoki”.
Knowing the real storyline makes this drama more bittersweet then anything bc its a reality that was wished upon but could never happen.
this means the scene shows forcing someone but then blanks out before the rape scene occurs. So you know its happened but they dont show it .... its just implied in the story line...
Just like how some shows, have scenes where a couple is having a love scene, so they show them maybe romantically kissing or hugging in there room but they fade out before anything else is shown but you know its happening.
The same goes for off screen rape... you will see someone forcing someone on the bed or etc but then the scene skips to them on the bed already naked and etc ... so that tells you he/she was raped they just didnt show it.
omg thank god im not the only one who felt that.... he looks so different like they changed up his entire face…
i dont know bc in princess goodbye he had long hair in a lot of scenes but he didnt look like the way he looked like in this trailer... it maybe the makeup they did this time...bc his face looks weird and different.. maybe they were trying to give him an older and more mature look but it instead made him look weird as hell.... Still im gonna watch it bc he is a good actor ... so im still really excited!!!
I'm waiting to watch My Coach, it's the first work I'll follow her. Your comment made me want to watch the other…
a good melodrama she is in is Roy Leh Marnya (2020) and a couple of cute funny dramas she is in is all the cupid series (the series are about a group of girlfriends and each series is based on one friends romantic comedy). The one where she is the main lead is The Cupids Series: Loob Korn Kammathep (2017) but there are a total of 5 series and they are all pretty good and funny in there own way. And also a good one is Kularb Tud Petch (2016) except the ending was not the greatest that it was open ending and you really wish there was a second season for it.

Hope that helps.
