This is pretty good so far. Recommend if you like revenge dramas.
I think the only drawback so far is that FL is mostly a party of one, and the people she’s dealing with are NOT the type of people that one person w barely any resources or connections can take down. The main villain’s son, Akin, has a similar backstory of parental abuse and vibe to the sons in Thicha, Master of the House & Game of Succession.
His character and her friends are actually pleasant surprises here. I like morally gray characters.
Risa is beautiful and rich, and girl really wants to marry a guy who obviously does not love her and she KNOWS IT smh
I often disagree w ratings and comments on here, but I actually have to agree w those who are disappointed. It started off really strong and kinda just lost its steam.
I recommend and don’t recommend this depending on what genre you’re into.
Romance – 6-7/10. it’s okay…. I really just didn’t like the love triangle at all. I feel like if it was just them, I would have liked it more. Some people might like the second couple though. I think they’re cute, and I really like the guy’s character development. And yes, the FLs may be a little too damsel in distress-y for some. I think the main FL is ok.
Revenge/Rivalry – 6.5/10. Underwhelming. This is what I watched this for. Unfortunately, their plans to get at each other were underwhelming to me. The plans weren't smart or clever. They were just run of the mill like planting an underage girl in a club or acquiring land the other party needs. Things like that. Nothing that really makes your jaw drop w how clever or surprising they were.
Psychological – 7.5-8/10. Recommend. This is what made me stay until the end. Each characters’ backstory, how they affected their beliefs, actions and motivations. I was absorbed w watching how things would play out for everyone. Why some were able to break free from the toxic cycle and how/why they did. While those who weren’t able to break free continued to perpetuate it despite being so miserable doing so, how they each met their downfalls. So if you’re into psychological dramas and are okay with unlikable/miserable characters, this might interest you.
Overall: 7/10

For those into Revenge/Rivalry dramas, ONE has an upcoming family rivalry drama “The Successor”. And ViuTV currently has the revenge drama “Maya”.
I love reincarnation and star-crossed lovers stories, so I’m glad we finally got a GL series with both. The execution could’ve been better, but assuming U Entertainment is a newer company, I think they did alright. Sadly, we’ve had more than a handful of GLs fall through with newer companies. So I’m glad U Entertainment came through here and even took a risk on a more ambitious story to work with.
Sprite and Piano are both charming in their roles. Sprite really had that warm, gentle, elegant P’ aura as P’Earl, complimented by Piano’s bright, affectionate, lovely and heart on her sleeves Pray.
I get why people were frustrated with P’Earl constantly rejecting Pray, involving her family more in the story instead of saving them for the end could’ve helped make her fears feel less like self-sabotage. I haven’t read the novel, but based on the show, it seems like neither remembers their past life consciously, though the feelings linger, especially seen through Pray. They should’ve balanced that with more from P’Earl. I mean, girl got sabotaged and drowned, and grew up watching her parents hate Pray’s family. It makes sense she’d internalize that their love could never be, but unfortunately, I think not conveying that well enough really hurt the story with some viewers.
That said, her eventually giving in more and more every time she’s alone with Pray felt so satisfying. I’d smirk and smile so hard my cheeks hurt 😅
Also, their conversations had this gentle, soothing tone and vibe I loved, especially as someone who’s very auditory. And the songs? Gorgeous in their own ways. Each one fits their past and current lifetime beautifully.
I hope to see more from U Entertainment and ofc Sprite and Piano.
The ML, I wish he’d leave that family and start his own company. Let them implode on themselves. He should’ve left while the old man was still alive, so that scumbag could’ve watched his empire crumble under his own bloodline.
This was engaging, but the execution could have been better. Instead of letting the story and characters naturally convey the messages, it often felt overly preachy, as if the show was worried the audience might miss the point.
*Some* characters, after everything they did and the joy they felt in those moments, deserved more than just guilt. Yes, people make mistakes and deserve a chance to learn and grow, but what they did wasn’t just a ‘mistake’ or because ‘they didn’t know any better.’ The show framed them as 'Teacher Win's innocent students' who didn’t know any better, but their actions were so harmful and intentional, downplaying the severity of what they did.
There are many 'lessons' to take away, but it started to feel scattered, especially toward the end. The premise had real potential, but trying to make it overly layered and complex may have weakened its impact.
I’m still giving this a higher score because, as mentioned, I found it engaging. I like the story and many of the characters—like Teacher Win, the people helping him, Rain, and the student with glasses. I also appreciate how real & relevant to today's society the final 'lesson' is. I like how its impact was reflected through Rain, especially in the way the weight of everything came across in her conversation with Teacher Win and, most notably, in the rooftop scene.
The acting, especially from the senior actors, are outstanding, like Aelm. Every time I see him, I know he’ll nail his role. The cop, who I vividly remember from the "Art of the Devil" trilogy in a repulsive role, managed to make me forget that and fully see him as the righteous cop here. Do I even need to say anything about Mew. I'm watching the guy in two dramas concurrently. That should say enough lol. And ofc, the actress playing Rain. She made me feel so sad and angry for Rain. Just to name a few. I could go on. This really is a well-cast show.
If you're a revenge drama fan and have been disappointed with the recent ones where the villains just die & barely…
I'm deeply sad for the two sisters. All they had were each other. P'Bua, the older sister, when she decided to change Linin into Prae, I think it was like seeing her sister again. P'Bua being able to get justice for Prae this time around, when she was helpless before and couldn't when Prae was still alive. She lived her whole life taking care of her sister and wanting to see her happy. I wish she could have lived on w Linin as another sister. That would have been nice.
As for Linin's and Dome's ending, it was expected. She made it very clear to Dome early on that she couldn't be the same person anymore. That night and what happened afterwards was extremely horrific and traumatizing for her.
I hope she lived. Based on Dome's smile, I think she does.
The end message says:
"In memory... of all the women who have been victims of violence."
If you're a revenge drama fan and have been disappointed with the recent ones where the villains just die & barely had to suffer at all, watch this. The villains are fleshed out like the guys in Thong Prakai. The revenge is satisfying. Last guy starts out slow compared to the others, but trust me, wait for it.
No one ever patronizes her wanting revenge either.
The supporting characters presented in each story arc adds a nice touch to the story. You'll like them. Their backstories always made me :O
Not very heavy on the romance. For those into romance, I think you may be disappointed here. For the rest of us who sometime feel the romance ruins things or is unnecessary, there's just the right amount here. It doesn't take away from the story or get in the way of the revenge.
Mono is on a roll with crime/thriller/suspense/revenge dramas this year, but they don't always have to have rape in them. I'd like them to tone it down w that.
The very last scene and the message was another nice touch.
Now I know why I've never been able to get into dating shows, they're usually het, and I'm gay asf.
I was only able to get one person right about who they like from first impression lol. That person really be wearing their heart on their sleeve. The other person was so subtle but in retrospect, she was so obvious too lol. How fast she got into that room. :O
Why didn't anyone else choose to room w the person they like from first impressions.
The sweet & friendly one who has the personality of a puppy. I felt so bad for her, when the girl she picked didn't pick her, too. But turns out they had to write that first note before they really got to know anyone anyway.
The girl who visually caught my attention at first, once she opened her mouth, I completely lost interest.
My fav so far is the puppy. She's cute (personality-wise), friendly and super sweet. And then the heart on her sleeve girl second.
Looking forward to who they pick now after they've gotten to know each other a little more. A new girl :O ...
Press Con Summary No air date yet. They say very, very soon but also said that they're still writing and looking for locations, so. Air time: Saturdays, 8:30pm Worldwide fanmeets confirmed for Philippines, China, Mexico and Brazil. They say they will go everywhere they can. So if you are outside these countries, make sure to let them know you want them in your country, too.
You don't have to understand Thai to watch the Press Con. The MCs sum things up in English throughout it. The lady MC was verrryyyyyyyyyy enthusiastic lol. I love her. She's great.
The Ch7 seniors look very happy to be doing this. I appreciate them going big budget on a GL project like this, unlike some other companies who more than have the budget but don't think GLs are worth more than paying just the bare minimum for. >_>
Thanks P'Fierce. Girly set Pray up to get in exactly the right bed. hohohoho
Pray's grandpa bringing up P'Earl's age and like, his probably younger than him by at least 20 years wife is standing right there. Sir...
I feel like the grandpa reflects a lot of what PEarl is going through w her family. If he is the understanding, sympathetic one from their parents/grandparents' generation and had that kind of reaction when he found out about them, imagine PEarl's family. I think viewers would be more sympathetic towards her one step forward, 10 steps back behavior with Pray, if they show her interactions w her family or flashbacks in the current life more. So far, I think it's just been brief phone calls bwn them and that just isn't enough to convey the difficult position she's in.
This has surprisingly become my weekly comfort watch. I think they’re cute together. Their conversations especially, when it’s just the two of them, are very gentle and soothing to listen to. There’s only 2 episodes left. I wish they had more screen time together.
The wait's almost over. ONE will be dropping trailers for dramas releasing in the second half of 2025. VERY briefly saw the poster for this flash on the screen during the announcement.
