I enjoyed this more than I thought

Not Much into Sport Dramas but I quite enjoyed this one. For the most part it was an easy and peaceful watch. I loved all of the characters and the couples. It definitely surprised me, the first episode doesn't emphasize what this show is about. At first it seems like a regular sports/college drama but it's so much more than that. The characters get good development and so do the couples, the friendships are one of YMS stronger points and I like how they handled Thor's coming out. Though, I feel like Vee and Dome's storyline was left open ended but understandable with the subject matter their story faced. I'm satisfied with the conclusion of the other two couples esp Saen and Ae since they were my favorites from the beginning.
All in all I give this series an 8.0. I say give this series a chance because it's so much more than what it seems.

Not just a Fairytale but really a story about two people from diffrent worlds

with their ups and downs in their relationship. Tho Cinderella at 2AM ws sold as a Cinderella farytale it really isn't. The people in this story are real people who go thru hardships and learn to become stronger than that. Yun Seo went thru a lot of pain when she was a child but that made her stronger and even if she seems weak at first, she knows how to fight for what she wants and hold on to the love that she shares with Ju Won.
Ju Won may seem like an easy Chaebol, but he really isn't. He works hard to get what he is. He goes thru trials and turbulations like everyone else. And when his mother becomes the villain in his story, he fights against her to stay with the woman he loves.
In all honestly this was such a feel-good romantic comedy with real characters at the core of it. Not the typical weak prince and princess that we've come to know in fairytales. Every episode made me laugh and love the characters more and more. Sure it had it's cliches like any drama series but for me it was easy to see past the mishaps and enjoy the story. The actors did a veery good job in this and it's clear that both are really good at comedy. The supporting characters Si Won and Mi Jin were really the heart of the series. I loved them from the minute they were introduced as the second couple.
The OST fit perfectly with the story. Esp Feeling Blue and Boyfriend. I'm going to miss this show it was my feel good show every weekend. This is the romantic comedy I like to watch.

If I could give Pursuit of Jade more than 10 I gladly would.

Although the ending was rather disappointing, it doesn't affect how good this drama was! From the very beginning it captured me. I hadn't been this hooked by a Chinese drama since long last year. But POJ had all the ingredients to capture more from the beginning. Stunning visuals, a good color scale, beautiful costumes and locations. Intense battle scenes, great character development and characters. A riveting story, class A+ acting and handsome leads. But I think what pulled me more into the world of PoJ was its Female lead. Fan Changyu has to be the best female character I've seen in a drama for a long shot. Her journey was a pleasure to watch, and I have to say that she's been the only FL that's never disappointed me. I love her growth, her strength, her spunkiness, her fire. She was just amazing from the get-go. And was masterfully played by TXW. It wouldn't surprise me if she has all the directors lined up already fighting or her.
Xie Zheng was also an amazing ML. He was threatening, caring, intimidating, sweet to CY, protective, supporting, lost his head when those he loved were in danger. He was the kind of man all of women want. Have to say Marquis was some of ZLH's finest work ever.
Even the smallest of characters in this show were so well written, none of them felt like filler and added so much to the story. I loved all the characters. Yes, even the villains, or loved to hate them so to speak, the characters were masterfully crafted by the writers.
Now onto the magic between Zhang Ling He and Tian Xi Wei. Those two were an atomic bomb together, they had so much sexual tension that sometimes I had to look away. That's how intense their chemistry was, and one of the major reasons I was heavily drawn in. For me, if the leads don't have chemistry, it doesn't matter how good the story is, I won't watch. Pursuit of Jade really was a recipe in all the elements I love in a drama. I really hope ZLH and TXW work together again. It will be such a shame to waste chemistry like theirs.
I loved Changyu and Zhang's love story. Love how hard they fought to be together, despite the things that threatened to separate them. Adore how they were always a team even when they were at odds with each other, they were a team. They are definitely in my favorite love stories list. I'm going to miss them so much.
Now the question comes.... what do I do after Pursuit of Jade is over? I don't know but I'll surely be watching this over and over again. It really was a Jade among Chinese dramas. 100/100. I rarely found fault with it at all.
I highly recommend this to anyone who hasn't watched it yet. You'll have a great time watching!

A Great Journey of female empowerment and Fight. And a look into the Brocade trade

Got to say that even though the last 8 episodes or so were extremely tedious, because of all the angst. This story is a great journey of female empowerment and like I saw when BO was still airing it was so easy emerging myself in Yingying's journey. She was one of the best FL's I've seen. Even though she fell she knew how to stand back up and she never gave up. Yes, this drama is not without its faults, but I loved it. The good outweighed the bad for me. And the acting was impressive. I saw complaints about the romance being underwhelming on here and I disagree. Could we have had more Yingying and Jinglan moments? perhaps but this drama wasn't about that. Romance was secondary because this was Yingying's journey to becoming Lady Silk. Still, I pretty much loved their love story and the chemistry between Seven Tan and Zhen Ye Cheng. Plus, the villains' demises are extremely satisfying for me. Everything Yingying went thru mattered in the end to get where she is.
10/10

Popcorn Drama. Nothing more, nothing less.

I highly debated rating this series 6.0 because the story was a mess from beginning to end and the chemistry just wasn't there for me. Could Yoon and Ton be anymore awkward/uncomfortable together? And man both the kissing scenes and the NC scenes were laughable. But I digress. Ultimately I went with a 6.5 because I realized as much as the story made me scratch my head many many times I didn't hate it as much as I originally thought I would. I found something funny in every episode while that was intentional or not, I had a fun time watching. Unlike Enchante,(the only other series I've rated 6.5) I didn't find the story dreary or any of the characters unlikable. I pretty much enjoyed all of them, esp if I saw them as parodies. The characters often didn't make sense but I could understand as long as I still found the situation funny, which I did. The cast did the best they could even if I felt all of them could have done better: Yoon: cough.

There were times I felt like I was watching a Mexican Telenovela which again ramped UN up in the entertainment value. And that's why I call this a popcorn drama. It's mindless entertainment set to make people have a good time, forget troubles and despite it's flaws Unforgotten Night did that. I'm gonna miss this chaos for that reason. Now what am I gonna watch to laugh at? And enjoy? I guess time will tell.

I hope Unforgoten Night serves as a sample of what not to do in a series, while not as bad as Check Out it could have been so much better. The production really dropped the ball on this one.

Dark and Gritty.

I saw that the angst in this one put some people off it. Yes, sometimes this series was very depression especially since all 3 main characters: Koh, Jira and Pheem were red flags. Sure, some don't consider Pheem a red flag, but I do, esp with how he considered Jira a sex object in the beginning until he started really having real feelings for Jira. As for Koh, he was a user etc and I hated how he did it to get what he wanted. He uses Jira right until the end, then repents because he loves him although he never really repents for sending Jira's paintings into AI (sigh). Jira the last red flag in how he was also using Pheem when things went south with Koh. I'm glad that in the end he breaks it off with both of them until it's time to reunite with Koh, Plus, to my acknowledgement the love triangle lasted too long. Jira always wanted Koh so I did feel like they dragged it out a bit there.
OffGun and Nuchy are always a winning team. She knows how to get the best out of them and they do it every single time. Their series don't disappoint. Even though Burnout Syndrome is not as good as Not Me, for me it's OffGun's second best. Sometimes, I love series like this: dark, gritt and angsty. OffGun are always at their best in series like this too. Their chemistry is somehow more intense and passionate which is why i can't wait to watch Gunshot even though I feel like that will be even darker than this one.
This one I give 9.5. There were some moments I didn't like at all but overall I pretty much enjoyed it and will be watching it over again.

Masterpiece and I can't believe I never wrote a review for this

after I finished watching it when it aired. Extremely late review. I kept putting it off because I wanted to find the right words for this masterpiece that I guess I forgot I hadn't done it in a while.

Last Twilight wasn't for everyone but I for one loved it! I love how angsty and emotional it was. Day wasn't the typical protagonist, no he was a very complicated, grey character and I for one loved that. Because it showed how much his disability had changed his life for the worst at first. Although later he learns to live with it and achieve his highest dreams with it. Him being a grey character put many people off Day even when his reactions were reasonable people hated Day. People ask for complicated lead characters and when they get them, they are not ready for them. I'm so sorry that many failed you Day Dannai. I for one loved Day even when he frustrated me, I understood him completely. As for Mhok he was also a gray character making impulsive decisions that in the end cost him a lot. The big blow out with Day that happens in ep 11 is his fault, yet the people automatically sided with Mhok even if he was the one in the wrong. I guess that shows Jimmy's incredible acting ability. No words can describe how amazing Jimmy Jittaraphol is at what he does. He makes his characters so real that you can't help and be protective of his character. Love how Jimmy took his acting ability to a whole other level as Mhok. Also loved that there was no trace of Puen in Mhok. Shows how incredibly versatile he is as an actor.

Loved how it pushed JimmySea to the best of their acting ability. This series was definitely a challenge for them but one that they passed with flying colors! Sea Tawinan esp was mesmerizing as Day. It's not easy portraying someone who has a disability, but Sea did it so convincing, even adding those little touches that made his movements so real to someone with a visual disability, that I forgot that he could see when I watch him as Day. I loved how he worked hard to make his character as real as he could by attending classes at a vision school etc. Sea is passionate about his work, and it shows. I had already loved him as Talay but here he really showed what an amazing actor he is. He deserved all the awards his won for this character. And I'm happy he continued this in his next character.

As for the story, it may have had inconsistises but I for one loved the emotional ride it took me on every episode. The end of ep 9 was the hardest and it stayed with me for days after it aired. JimmySea's acting here was perfect and it showed why they are the perfect partners for each other. The way that they support and help each other in their scenes is one of the reasons I love them so much. As for their chemistry! HOLY! The sexual tension was up the wazoo in LT. I always saw their chemistry in VV but here it was more intense, more passionate and so much better than it had previously been. I think ep 6 has some of my favorite tension moments between JS, you can literally cut the tension with a knife in the scene wehre Day trips, Mhok catches him and then Mhok looks like he wants to kiss Day as if his life depended on it. Wow! Just remembering that scene still gives me butterflies. Not to mention their first kiss here too. So good. I'll always be thankful for how strong their chemistry gets in each series. It's even better in My Magic Prophecy. Comes with the comfort level of being good friends and partners. They really love each other in real life.

The OST also added so much to the series. Especially William's song everytime I heard it in the episodes I got goosebumps. The background music used also enhanced the scene experience. NamtanFilm and MarkOhm were the perfect support characters. Loved them on here. And I miss them working with JimmySea maybe someday in the future they work together again.
10/10 highly recommended.

Such a masterpiece. A golden treaure and a great story of

second chances and powerful characters. This is how Chinese dramas should be written I was revited from beginning to end. Dou Zhao was definitely one of the best FL's I've seen in CDramas. Strong, courageous, determinedto change not onlyher fate but that of others as well. She was brilliantly acted by Men Ziyi too. Song Mo is someone that is also someone who is driven by his desire for justice and love for his family. His sense of justice can bring him very close to comitting hideous acts but his patience and his love for his wife always manage to pull him back. Itwas great to see Li Yunri leading his first drama, he's excellent and will go far with his talent.
The love story of Zhao and Mo was beautiful I love how they worked as a team not only in terms of fighting for justice but in their relationship too. When he needed to take a stepback and think clearly, she was always there offering her hand and he took it. Their relationship was so healthy for that matter. All their battles they fought them together even when they didn't know each other. That was how strong their bond was. Fate brought them together for a reason. I wish more writers would write their main couple like this.
As for the story it keeps you engaged from the first moment. The twists and turns keep you at the edge of your seat you want the heroes to suceeed and the villains to pay (and oh boy do they pay.) I highly recommend this drama.
Overall, 10/10 and I will be watching it over and over again.

Different and compelling even if the ending

is heartbreaking but to me it made sense and was realistic. The story was interesting and different and I like how certain countries are moving away from traditional BL's. South Korea was one of the first to do this. The writing may not have been the best, but I give them huge credit. I liked the idea that past trauma led by guilt can be ket go off if you get a second chance with a loved one. I also like that even if the story is heartbreaking there's still that light of hope that things can and will get better. As it is the norm with time travel stories. Well with any kind of stories that is.

I think the best thing about the series was the acting since there's still room for improvement when it comes to wfriting, plot and certain themes. But back to the acting Lee Hyun Yun and Moon Yi Yong gave incredible performances. Seriously, the emotion that both LHY & MYY portrayed was top notch to the point that I cried with them. I had never seen them before but I'll say that both are extremely talented. BRAVO!

The OST was also beautiful. Great choices made by the production team

Overall I give this series a 7.5 out of 10. Like I said more room for improvement but still enjoyable due to the acting.

Cute but I wish it wouldn't have been cut in half.

I liked the acting and the story. But I also felt like a lot of the plot was rushed and when I found out that the episode count went from 8 down to 4 episodes it made sense. I felt like a lot of buildup was cut because of that and some of the essence was lost. Still, I think the writers managed to keep the gist of the story despite that. And I felt like it delt with real problems teenagers deal with when coming to terms with themselves and their sexuality. Ther acting by the main actors was good and they had good chemistry. But I wish the producers would have respected them and the rest of the crew more. Still cute little story about first love, parents' acceptance and finding yourself & love when you are not looking for it.

Overall, I give it a 7.0 because I feel like this series could have given more.

Much better than Star in My Mind, therefore I enjoyed it more

Sky in My Mind was a huge improvement over its predecessor. While, SIMM had its moments it certainty failed and dragged on with the misunderstandings. Fah and Prince actually talked to each other & listened. The misunderstandings they may have had were solved pretty fast and easily. I will agree that the drama in the last episode was cliche because that's why cellphones exist lol, but it only lasted about half an episode. I appreciated that it wasn't dragged out for 2-3 episodes which is common in BL series. For that alone it's one of my favorites. Not only were the problems solved quicker, but I do think the characters were more mature and didn't easily fall into the childish behavior that Dao and Kluen tended too. Did Fah and Prince have their moments? Yes, but never to a child's degree. That was a breath of fresh air.

I also enjoyed the simplicity and romance of the series. Some scenes gave me butterflies and yeah, I enjoy cheese, so this was right up my alley. Think the setting being away from the big city helped SIYH achieve what it wanted to. Got to say the village where Sky was filmed was absolutely beautiful, took me right into the mood every Friday.

I'll admit Mek was the best part of this series. His acting skills and charm really did the heavy lifting when the series needed it to. I'm gonna miss watching him every week. That being said tho, for being a newbie Mark did a decent job. Although Mark still needs work especially in emoting better. But, he's much better than other newbies GMMTV & other production companies have put forward lately. I loved the chemistry between Mek and Mark it really made the series for me. May be in the minority but I think they had more than Dunk and Joong.

As for the music have to say the opening song is one of my favorites, used to hum along to it when it played. The rest of the OST was ok. Overall I give SIYH a 9.5 and will probably be rewatching when I'm in the mood to. It's def easier to watch than SIMM despite the drama in the last two episodes & for that it gets higher points from me.

Felt like I was watching Star in My Mind 2

but with much better communication between Joke and Zo. At least they're problems they were able to fix quicker by actually talking to each other unlike Kluen and Dao. Still the story is basically the same: two college students, one has a one side crush on the other at first, there's a girl heavily involved: rinse, recycle, repeat. I only liked it a little more than SIMM because the characters are way more mature emotionally, esp Joke. At least in this one I didn't want to tear my hair out with any arguments the characters may have had etc. Other than that, it's essentially the same story. Dunk's acting is still stiff, and I still have to feel any chemistry between JoongDunk that's not forced. I hate those forced, cliche, chemistry moments and there was ton here. As for rewatch value: I'll probably rewatch when I'm bored or don't have anything else to watch.
