It's a decent costume melodrama but the ai subs are so bad sometimes it was really hard to follow. I liked the devotion of the ML (he really is good in these minis) but it was kind of all over the place in the plotting and pacing.
Satisfying drama with lots of humour and twists. Love the devoted ML character, and the FL give a great performance. More of these two characters would be awesome.
There was an excess of confusing/boring business drama that overwhelmed the romance for me. On the plus side, they found (often ridiculous) excuses to remove DGZ's shirt as often as possible in the first half and he acted the heck out of the rest of the show.
An excellent drama - not just a great mini. The acting is superb and the plot is thrills, twists, and a beautiful romance. Also, I was weirdly charmed by his ever-present gum, particularly in ep 11 when the villainess is trying to be seductive. A fun character choice that made the story so lived in.
It was a lot of workplace drama with a sweet devoted ML and a very slowburn romance to go with the comedy and occasional melodrama of it all. Ray (Blue) is the most adorable of adorables, though, and the rest of the cast are lovely. Everyone's smiles made me smile so it was worth the watch.
There's a stitched together version with bad machine generated subs on YouTube. There was a better version out there but I think it got pulled. https://youtu.be/vEgMac9JZos?si=jYXfvxDlO7dhQlDO
It's pretty funny, especially her direct address to the camera. The story is mini-drama fast and choppy, but it was cool to see such a strong FL. ML acting is mediocre, but FL is good.
It's so exaggerated and silly, but fun to watch her put jerks in their place. Bit of a waste of WZY - he's just here to help with the skin care ad - but I love her energy.
This is a sweet and charming mini, with Ryan Ding being truly adorable. He falls in love better than any actor in dramaland. That being said the English subs are a disaster on IQIYI. My favourite example being every time they said 'èn' (the nasal hum for 'yes') the sub read 'pharynx.' Unintentionally hilarious!
This drama tested my patience so badly. I ffwed through so much! I was reminded of a review I saw on MDL while back: it is somehow both boring and irritating at the same time. I can't be bothered to write a whole review but can confirm that the romances, the past lives stuff, the thread of fate nonsense, and the serial killer plot all just fizzle into nothingness. What a waste of talented actors - not to mention my time!
I'm not gonna talk about the MCs. They were good and all. I liked everything about them and I'm so happy and satisfied…
I completely agree! I found their relationship to be deeply flawed and was so happy when they split. To get back together was such a terrible idea - they will make each other miserable in the long run. I was so sick of them that I ffwed nearly all their scenes from about five episodes in. I truly wish she'd stuck with the generic dude and he'd given it a proper try with the techie girl. Those might not have been long-term love either, but they were at least less toxic than what ended up happening. Apologies for the rant but it is such a relief to know I'm not the only one troubled by that couple!
wait the end is a cliffhanger?? pls say it's not. I've been waiting till now so i can watch it once it's finished…
It's not a cliff hanger - the Hospital and Creature story does get a conclusion - but there are very short teases for season two after the ending that make the imagination go wild.
at the end we saw Jang Tae San with a New name at first I thought it might bè his descendent but I watch that…
Akiko/Myeong-ja was violent and out of control but then she was able to pull back when confronted. Kato said it's the anthrax that caused the creature mutation, so maybe because Tae Sang is *very* self-controlled he is channelling the violence the Najin provokes. He did heal insanely fast at Lady Maeda's house... And who knows what's up with the super-Najin that is now in Chae-Ok? Maybe they have extreme healing now and barely age?
The Mango channel videos don't have subs from the halfway point on, but full English subs are available here:
