You are choosing to make it about gender. A person helping their friend or love interest is a good thing. Also it's pretty insulting that you are downplaying all the hard work she's put in to better herself just because a guy who likes her is helping her as well.

While I agree the asshole should have been thrown in jail, but for someone like him where his reputation meant everything to him, the public now hating him was a pretty epic punishment for him imo.

Because the robot shuts down at the end, the human guy becomes a consolation prize. I hope they develop them more because she's supposed to end up with him over the robot. And I also hope it's not as frustrating as the Jdrama version of this especially that damn special where she's engaged to the human guy, but then basically ignores him because the robot comes back and when robot leaves her again, she goes back to the human guy like nothing happen. All in all, prepare to be frustrated at how badly the human guy gets treated by the girl.
