Literally almost every culture in the world had some form of slavery at that time… that doesn’t make it right but no, during that time period it was not socially/culturally taboo. Just for context, this drama is most likely set in the late 1400s.but yes I do agree a lot of commentators are focusing on irrelevant, innocuous aspects in these comments.
Koreans seem to have this unique fascination/obsession with corruption and, essentially, “political intrigue”. Works great in historical dramas but doesn’t always translate well into other dramas such as… a sports drama about a rugby team.
