so many people recommended this to me and.. this could have been good... if the fl was anything more than a wooden plank in her relationship with ml ! seriously, the actress is like a rock when he kisses her - the kisses were really good on ml's end, but fl just did not reciprocate... also, I'm a fan of dom/sub elements in fiction, and if they had actually done something with it it could have worked, but instead the main couple had these really awkward slight d/s vibes that just felt cringy - it was hard to feel the love between them, and love and passion is really important to make that kind of dynamic work. and someone else commented that it felt old fashioned, and i agree... I kinda like ml - maybe because I'm biased toward yang yang, and I like boss/ceo, dominant male leads when they're done well, but fl... not sure what the writers were going for. she's introduced as a really smart student who is genius at gaming, but then her skills and intellect just fade into the background for so much of the show? and only show up when the plot needs her to succeed to show off? idk. anyway, it was an okay show for binging while I was home sick to entertain me, but i'm not in love with it
ah the fl and sml are both so irritating, at this point I'm just watching for yuan song and the side characters/relationships (especially canyang and minmin, they really carry the show honestly)
i'm late but tomb of the sea is part of the lost tomb/grave robbers chronicles rather than candle in the tomb. in the main series, wu xie is the main character ^^

when you've experienced something traumatizing, it is very hard to talk about. many times when people experience something like rape, it is a long time before they are able to talk about it. that's just how trauma works. please don't blame the victims for not speaking sooner.
