It was widely rumored she was kicked off because she had a boyfriend. It’s likely to be true because there was never any denial, despite this being a rumor everyone’s heard. They typically deny untrue things that are harmful to contestants’ images. This is the first time I’m hearing anything about age.

Thank you for voicing this! It’s really grating on me how people aren’t giving Choa or Cheolhyeon any grace, or thinking they themselves — as viewers completely removed from the environment or their personal circumstances — know what’s best for these people in an almost patronising way. Cheolhyeon knows his sister better than anyone else and wants what he thinks will secure her future happiness (a man that actively pursues and commits to his sister — despite not knowing JS might not be that person). Choa loves her brother, but she is not a puppet to be “manipulated”, and will make the choices she makes as an active participant in her own life. I don’t understand why viewers act like just because of Cheolhyun making some comments she suddenly has no agency of her own. It’s almost frustrating reading these takes tbf.

I always assumed this was the case. It’s a contrived environment they’re contained in and it must make the contestants feel like their only options in life are the people in the house — which could also contribute to why most of them break up outside of the house even if they end up together in it, as their perception of what’s possible has widened.

Heedoo/Nayeon and Haeeun/Hyunggyu couples are both still together and seen often by fans.
