I 100% agree with you. I haven't seen a romcom in forever so I thought this would be a good one since many people hyped it up. But 4 episodes in and I just couldn't see it. The characters weren't believable. I love time travel and time manipulation plots only if done right. The story here is very one dimensional and there are character screen times that I'm not sure why it even exists. The purpose of the side characters is nonexistent and each time you are waiting for there to be a catch, there's none. If the writers wanted this to be angsty, they could've done it. But the attempts of sprinkled in comedy were all just overused tropes that were executed terribly.
If they only have 8 episodes and these are the characters they are going with and cutting the rest, I'd say it's okay. They already changed up the Stephen arc last season like crazy to fit a drama format, they can def do it again for season 2. If you really had to simplify the eunjang and union boys, these are the most essential guys. They are the ones executing the main plot. Gerard, Teddy, and Rowan didn't have a huge connection to Donald, but Ben, Alex, and Eugene did. I trust that they will do a good job. Don't treat it like an accurate webtoon adaptation, but rather a short story based on weak hero
If they are going to include everyone and have every single arc, it will be so rushed in 8 episodes, or they are gonna need like 6 seasons to do it justice
Wha- he's born 1989???? I've only seen in play high school roles in Shark: The Beginning and Uncanny Counter. I always thought he was in his early twenties. But he's even older than Kim Min seok
Glad I wasn't the only one. Most of the characters felt useless. Spent all episodes running around and yelling at each other with nothing being done. They had plenty of screen time yet none of them were used properly to make the viewer actually care about them since they had no charming qualities
This would be the first live action that I watch after already reading the manhwa. Didn't even know this was a thing?? I was going through Shin Seungho's films and all of a sudden I see Omniscient Reader. Clicked on it, then I see Ahn Hyoseop, Lee Minho, and Chae Soobin?? WHAT?!!?! So excited. I don't mind that it's a movie and not a series, just glad it's not split into multiple seasons.
I hesitated feeling this way because I also really love the series. The ending of season 2 was satisfactory, but it kept me wanting more. I wanted to see more of the staff working together. To be honest, I do think a third season is not necessary because all the villains they ever come up with are the ones who challenge Kim Sabu, and we already know how it goes. Same with Cha Jin man here. I think the main charm of Dr Romantic is KSB and the staff, not the conflict or the antagonist.
i only saw a trailer on twitter and i had no idea what it was about, but i was instantly drawn in. i read the synopsis here and the genre is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY
I only learned of him recently because of Weak Hero Class 1. But then I checked his filmography and turns out, I've watched many of his dramas before. He did so well as Gil Su. He's an amazing actor <3 Rest well
YOOOO I was just thinking about Model Avenger and when they are gonna have a reunion. HERE WE ARE WITH KYK AND SJ. When I first watched kdramas I also thought of pairing KYK and LSK... HERE WE ARE
