someone tell me if it has annoying love triangle ? And when does the romance part starts ?
i wouldnt call it an annoying love triangle.. but it does kill the romance part for me personally. i joked with my friends saying this show should have a secondary title: how to kill romance and make fictional reality as dry and unromantic as real life. i would watch it for very good story telling and interesting characters and relationship dynamics. but romance wise its not my cup of tea.
Ep 7&8 : so hilarious. I think Mr. Yuan shen is also a not bad future husband candidate š¤š¤š¤š
niaoniao finds him a total turn off lmao he doesnt suit her at all. maybe if he didnt try to flirt with her by lecturing her how to treat guests properly and spoke more directly and to the point then maybe. ML suits her the most because of his no bs manners

yea i understand her point of view but it is still lacking clarity only based on her own prejudice and assumptions of the worst of her daughter. im on ep4 and thats what i see from the mom so far. so far niaoniaos schemes when looked at objectively is not the same as her inlaws. imo the mom is losing out on a gem of her precious daughter if she cant even make that distinction and give credit where its due. i totally relate to niaoniao and love hows shes written shes like the 100times smarter version of my ownself with similar exp. the detachment shes forced to face. while still understanding her mom and respecting and holding space for her moms lack of underatanding and shortsightedness. cos from my pov niaoniao has an even higher perspecrive than her mom. even with her lacking of exp than her mom. her own suffering and exps are even more valuable. and even niaoniaos judgement is more accurate than her moms. tbh i feel that her mom being unable to accept and condone her daugters behavior only highlights the many truths shes running away from herself. its such an accurate portrayal of a real mother and daughter relationship i love it

i think cdrama fans are sour that the cgi have actual standards outside of cdramas. all the xianxia dramas are always so cringe and most of wuxia / xianxia have crappy camera work and crappy sword fighting scenes with 10 million cuts to try to make up for the poor acting
their kissing scenes are so cringe and not romantic at all they have close to 0 chemistry it's almost as if she finds his breath stinky or something like cmon
im on episode 2 and one thing i noticed and appreciate and makes me lol is that they walk and talk faster than on normal period dramas. i think the camera moves faster too. i had to check if i was watching on x2 speed HAHAH. the pace is great
ep 6: man unpopular opinion here? cant believe everyones comments about liu ran. so far shes not annoying at all in fact imma go out on a limb here and say baili hongli is the annoying one lol i get that hes supposed to be a stoic character but hes just plain rude so far.
ep 9: man the writing is kinda bad. like ok i get that the plot is supposed to move them towards the real identity of the joint corp. but really they didnt think to make a copy of the accounts? so much for it being an important clue. lame
im on episode 4 and idk if i like the cinematography in terms of color choice. it makes the show look really old like 1990s television. the sound is bad too.
anyone else feel like the makeup artist did wu jin yan dirty? everyone else has thicker eyeliner and more color on the lips but it feels like wu jin yan is secretly hated or something everytime shes on screen she looks haggard and sickly. she looks so much better outside of this drama
i have to comment on how zhao xiao was written. am i the only one finding it horrible of the FL basically leading him on and she never had to step in to clear the misunderstanding that she never liked him in the first place and made ML take all the hate? how does this make sense
