I also deeply dislike gritty and political crime dramas…but I must say Lee Joon Gi is the absolute BEST actor I have ever seen. Full stop. Flower of Evil left me with my jaw on the floor and just wanting my crime-movie loving family (who does NOT watch k-dramas) to watch it. Again my life is also good, but FoE is just on another level. I don’t think I’ll ever see another drama or movie that could be even half as good as this one. Lee Joon Gi gets a standing ovation for all his performaces 👏🏼👏🏼
You are so right about timing. When I first tried to watch Chicago Typewriter, I hated it with the heat of a thousand…
I‘m glad you mentioned Chicago typewriter. I was only able to watch a couple episodes but just wasn’t into it. I’ll definitely give it another try in the future then!
There are some dramas that I have dropped simply because it wasn't the right time for me to watch them. I just recently finished Fight for my way. This was the *third* time I tried to watch it, and was never able to get through the first episode. This time was the right time and I loved it! Same with Strong woman Do Bong Soo. I watched one or two episodes and dropped it. Came back a year later and loved it! Some dramas are definitely not worth watching. I've dropped them and will never try them again (Love with flaws, fated to love you, please don't date him, dinner mate, bubblegum, Now we are breaking up, even though I did give some of these a second try). They night be loved by some but not me. I'd rather rewatch an awesome drama than suffer through a bad one.
