I really enjoy Hou Ming Hao's work and am looking forward to this drama, but I truly hope Esther Yu avoids using the baby voice she's known for in this role. I’m crossing my fingers that she portrays He Pan with more depth, and aside from that concern, I'm very excited to see this pairing!

I agree. Fan Yue’s death felt repetitive to me. After he lost the last star, it felt like his individual arc was already over. After that point, it felt like his character was mainly there to help complete their shared story and give Bai Shuo her ending.
The latter part of the story feels unnecessarily dragged, making their relationship more painful and bittersweet than needed. A sad ending can be powerful, but here it feels deliberately prolonged to maximise suffering.
