Sitcom like comedy, a bit slapstick

This is a review of someone who did not watch Bed Friend, but because I like the premise.

I watched this expecting the worst, but tbh it's kinda entertaining. It's formatted like a sitcom, but it does know how to take seriously. I also like the plot of a side character or comic relief getting their own story, and Jade is just the right amount of loud and cringe (I'm pretty sure a lot disagree, but I enjoyed Secret Crush on You and Jade is tame in comparison). The first few episodes where they're all copying his decisions and the part where they close the menu in synch are so funny. I'm happy they did not turn him into someone completely serious at the end cuz that would defeat the purpose of the premise of "comic relief getting his own lovestory".

They get together at the last episode, but their dynamic before that is nice to watch too. The build-up is exciting and just enough to make me root for Mai and understand why Jade took that long to accept him. Tbh even if the series ends at the first 15 mins of ep 8, I would've been satisfied. Ep 8 feels like an epilogue.

The NC scenes were verrryyy steamy. And they did it more than once in ep 8. The last one just doesn't fit the vibe of the series, but I'll accept it cuz I'm considering ep 8 as a special episode, cuz they nicely concluded it on ep 7.

When it comes to side couples, I could care less about Tong and Gus tho, but King and Uea are endearing.
