The professor was the one on trial, not him. He wasn't in danger of losing his freedom, just in danger of losing the career he had worked so hard for if people found out he was gay.

I wouldn't be so annoyed with what Yi Deum did if I thought she did it out of a sense of justice or duty to do her job. But she came across to me as a selfish brat who just didn't want to lose a trial she knew she could win and didn't care one bit about the lifelong consequences for the victim. It wasn't what she did that rubbed me the wrong way so much as how she did it. :-/

Yes, they are. They were written by the same writing team and several characters appear in both dramas. Six Flying Dragons is the prequel to Deep Rooted Tree. It covers the life of Yi Bang Won and Deep Rooted Tree is set during the reign of his son, King Sejong. If you plan to see both then I would recommend watching Six Flying Dragons first. You'll understand the background of the characters and the situation better.

Anything involving animals really gets to me, so Hachiko Monogatari is definitely my ultimate tearjerker. I can't even watch parodies of it without crying and I'm not usually a crier. T_T

MBC cancelled it to show the soccer/football match between South Korea and the Czech Republic instead.

I am both excited and terrified. XD Really hope they do it justice...
