I think we will get a HE since this series follow the book pretty closely except the mafia/usury + kidnapping…
I expect a happy ending. That black and brown coach shirt Ming has in the ep 12 preview is the same one he had in episode 4 (when Ming called Joe right before Joe died) and it's not two different scenes with the same clothes (old Ming has a green phone cover, current Ming has a brown/pink one) so there will definitely be some flashbacks. I expect Joe will see these flashbacks and will reconsider going through the door. Joe 1.0's body is ash so he will probably wake up again in Joe 2.0's body. There are 2 or 3 happy scenes from the trailer I don't remember seeing in the series yet so yeah, a happy ending.

That would be a genius move. But for that to work, they would also have to not include any scenes from the last episode in the trailer itself. As it is now, I think there were few I haven't seen yet in the series so I can pretty much guess the ending. Still, I look forward to next week. <3
hello! I’m new to mdl and I wanted to know if there’s a way to save this custom list? Like I want to have…
It would be great if there was a page on your profile for your liked lists. So far, I did not encounter this option. My workaround for this is this: I just follow the author of this list. Then I can relatively quickly access the list by going to my Profile > Following > click on the author > Lists > open the list I like. Since I am following just one person, this workaround works fine for me so far.
I'm not done with the episode yet cause I have to keep taking breaks, but I can honestly say this show has some…
Really natural and believable, not cringe at all. I don't think I've ever seen a BL that would have so explicit NC scenes, yet so well written/acted. I mean, there's KinnPorsche but that is a special category of its own.
I don't mind the explicit NC scenes, but I do mind that this is basically PWP.I simply want depth in my dramas…
I would classify this as soft porn. However, even if it didn't have any decent plot at all, I am more than happy to have this in my watched collection. I was watching this and My Stand-In and realized the type of sex scenes that were shown in these were exactly what I like to see in my BLs from time to time. Not everything has to be that deep (just watched Unknown and am happy to watch something light). Anyway, here's me skulking the comment section to see if anyone mentions a series with a similar type of sex scenes. :D
I am afraid to watch Chinese historical dramas. They tend to have tragic ending almost all times. So someone please…
For me, the ending was bittersweet. They do end up together, yes, and are quite happy... but are also facing the consequences of the events from the last episode. Aside from this plot twist, which I still think was bad writing and could easily be fixed by a simple dialogue or a scene (but maybe I missed something), and that one death scene (also in the last episode) that felt like it got included for shock value, I can't say enough good things about this series.
I did not watch all episodes properly and skipped some scenes, as I'm waiting for the entirety to be released…
Hey, no worries. I saw some people being confused and I was like "I have some insight into this" so I overshared a bit, I guess. 😅 I was also really surprised by how well this storyline imitated real life, I would not expect it to be this good. Anyway, I'm super invested and am looking forward to seeing how they handle this in the following episodes. 🧡
Someone's gotta say it, to hell with all possible excuses of Chen Yi not noticing/denying Ai Di's feelings. Whether…
I did not watch all episodes properly and skipped some scenes, as I'm waiting for the entirety to be released before I watch it properly, but from what I've already seen... I'm honestly not surprised at all, as I experienced something similar in my late teens/early twenties.
I was in love with my first (semi-unrequited) love and in the early years, I was so laser-focused on him that I unintentionally ignored everyone else. At that time, I also had a really close friend, we were always together for years and mutual friends always kind of joked that we would eventually start dating (we laughed it off every time). I viewed him as a friend/brother and communicated this to him. He knew I loved someone else and he never told me he was in love with me (on the contrary, he talked about being interested in someone else) but then, seemingly randomly, he told me years later that if I had been open to it, he would have married me back then. It took me completely by surprise because he never said anything and I viewed all our interactions as friendship. Whatever didn't fit, I labeled as "nah, I am imagining it", or it was forgotten pretty fast because I was so focused on my first love. So yeah, Chen Yi was dense. I was too. 😅
