I love this drama. I watched it a long time ago but the memory lingers. I felt that the ending should have been handled differently because it left me so unsatisfied. But the cast especially the 3 main leads are so good, they kept me engrossed. There were several scenes that even after all these time and even after watching all other very good dramas, the scenes from this particular drama I still remember, that's how good this drama is.

Just re watched this and realized it is the funniest if not one of the funniest in its genre. I love this show. To all members (cast, crew, etc) that made this drama, well done!
Im so glad to have found this! Pulled me out of my drama slump. Love the story, love the actors! The Queen soundtrack is brilliant. Definitely, this is in my top 10. Highly recommended viewing.

There is bromance between ML and the brother-in-law character. The bro-in-law (characterized as scheming and corrupt) was initially much detested by the ML. Due to circumstances, they forged a very unlikely friendship. A couple of the really funny scenes are between these 2 characters, w/c are source of re-watch from me.
Even after all these years, Battle of Chang Sha, for me , is still one of the best dramas I have ever seen. When they did the comedy, they did it the LOL way. When they did romance, I swear you will swoon at the scenes. When they did drama, you will cry buckets of tears. Excellent writing!
Do not be discouraged because of the depressing poster. Do not judge it based on the initial character of the FL here, she was only 16 at the beginning of the drama and spoiled in her family. I love her character growth. Yes, there is war in this drama but I just love the romance and the story of the Hu family incorporated in it. I hate war movies but this is my exception. I keep on re watching some of the scenes here. Highly recommended viewing.
Highly recommended drama. Not perfect but definitely very engaging. The two main leads' sizzling chemistry kept me glued til the end. I also like the way some scenes are explained from the character's vantage points which also shows good script writing/editing. I love it.
Has a couple of scenes that are so freaking hilarious, I love this drama. Has the usual drama tropes but for me it's bearable considering it is from 2016. The key leads carried the show. The scriptwriting is also commendable since ths show gave me LOL moments. Though not perfect, this drama beats a lot of the new ones proliferating in the net that I consider so overrated.
To fans of 'Too Late To Say I Love You', this is a treat. Nothing beats the acting of these two seasoned actors as they elevate the quality of any drama that they star in, especially together. There's a sense of poignancy that is felt even after you are done watching. And that is the magic made by having these two fine leads.
I just rewatched this. After all these years of watching Jane Austen movies, American, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Hongkong, Taiwan, Thai and Turkish dramas, this drama remains in my top 10 love to rewatch series. I love the tandem of ML and FL (2005 version). Thanks to the efforts of people like Rayla below and someone named korat12o3 who uploaded this on youtube. If you are a drama lover, you should not miss this. :-)

Just finished binge watching this drama. Very intense scenes beautifully played by the the main leads. I agree with some comments. The love story between Min Woo and Miju stole my heart and kept me watching non stop. Though the story of revenge was the main theme, their love story was beautifully interwoven and I was glued, I wouldnt have minded if they were given more extra screen time. Kudos to all those involved in the making of this drama.
This is a much better drama than the ones being made these days. Each episode is full packed with exciting reveal that keeps you glued through out its happy end. Despite a few flaws, I consider this nicely written compared to the usual. As one commenter mentioned," they don't do this like this anymore. " Nicely done. I love it.
