He was the least likeable for me too. I don't see him being end game in the drama. His journey to the throne and using her to get there was a big part of the novel so unless they change that then it's unlikely he'll end up with her.

Super excited for this. I read the novel because Yang Zi was rumored to be in it and the novel turned out to be really good. With this casting I thought Deng Wei looks more like Shang Liu, Tan Jianci like Zhuan Xu, and Zhang Wanyi to be Tu Shan Jing but I'm sure they will be great at the parts they are casted for. Can't wait to see Tan Jianci as white haired Xiang Liu 😍 It'll be interesting to see how they adapt the novel and whether they'll change who the FL will end up with.
