I just watched the final episode of 2521 last night and honestly, this drama hit me differently. Although I am truly in pain HD and YJ didn't end up together, I acknowledge this drama gave me many values that I want to keep in mind because many lines from those characters are just valuable. I am the same age as the characters so that makes this drama related to me tightly.
My favorite scene is the last scene of adult HD going to the tunnel for the sake of delivering the words that were supposed to end her relationship with YJ 20 years ago. And the conclusion scene about them running over the tunnel with those lines about nothing is eternal concluding happiness, sadness, the people we met in every phase of life, and the memory of it all completed 16 episodes beautifully. You, the writer, and all of the crew who were involved in the making of this drama depicted this value beautifully and at the same time painfully.
But I still have some questions to ask about: 1) Why is a photo of HD on the beach kept by YJ from JW eventually in the HD's album? 2) What is the secret/message of the scene adult HD and her mother went to the hospital? I don't this scene is needed. 3) Is HD's inner child (who grew up alone and didn't get enough affection from her mother) playing the main reason for her decision to end her relationship with YJ? If this is right, I think HD would take a risk to save her ship with YJ if her mother treated her kindly. But in the end, HD wouldn't like to take a risk. Or another reason; YJ's communication is problematic because he can't show his feeling obviously as the character build-up on the previous episode?
