It was nice at first but quickly fell off at a certain point due to lots of unnecessary drama and an extremely unnecessary villain. i won’t go into detail in the flaws except one that wasn’t just stupid but also very problematic. from the beginning we are introduced to her manager who is shown to be incredibly arrogant and misogynistic. it was naturally very annoying to watch and even more so to see no one adress it directly or complain to HR, but I just assumed it would happen later as another revenge plot. but he only gets demoted and his sexist attitude keeps getting portrayed as some mildly annoying but funny joke.

Even the ml doesn’t do anything about it despite seeing it with his own eyes and knowing he stole the fl’s work. not even that lawyer/HR? take it seriously. it’s just so weird that not even kang reported him. What’s really problematic though is that he ended up having a redemption out of nowhere and even praised for it, and how he attended their wedding as if he was some good guy who did no serious wrongs. like it wasn’t just his sexist attitide but the fact that he literally stole their work and constantly humiliated those below him. not to mention it was mentioned the reason he picked on kang a lot was because she rejected him in the past. there are many real men like that that are incredibly sexist and abuse their positions of power, especially in korea, so characters like him shouldn’t just be let go easily especially in a drama where the fl gets revenge against everyone that wronged her but for some reason drew the line with him. like it totally wasn’t even necessary at all. no one expected anything good from him and there’s no doubt everyone wanted to see him get punished. he literally wouldn’t have changed for the better if they stayed silent.

it’s just so weird that he never faces serious consequences for what he’s done. people like that don’t even change, but they even had to portray him as some genuine victim of sumin despite the very obvious age gap. it’s genuinely creepy and honestly very disappointing to see. at this point they could’ve gave the mother in law a redemption.

could barely finish episode one because it was so frustrating. I could get the fl being desperate and lacking some pride due to her circumstances, but he is rude and treats her like she’s some dog. my final straw was when he asked if she didn’t have self respect when she put on a maid dress that HE OWNED and had other girls wear before. Like genuinely what even makes him attractive he’s a total jerk

The issue with today's world is people jumping on a train without any context and just because someone said something.…
yes, because the names just happened to be so similar to the real life ones by accident. do you actually think it’s some innocent coincidence? like actually?? even itf it was a mistake and somehow portrayed as ‘neautral’, why out of the millions of different names they could have chose, it was this?. what, they changed a few letters and now they’re not the same words?

why would they use similar names in the first place. they could’ve used any other names. it’s so blatantly obvious. do you realize how much time and process it took for this to be aired. someone picked the names, many approved. just cause they changed a few letters doesnt mean its a brand new word

would you still say that if they said something against women or black people?
you being annoyed people are rightfully giving it low ratings speaks for itself. it may not technically do anything, but it will stop more people from watching the show. if you’re truly bothered you’d do something even if it’s ‘insignificant’, it’s a thousand times better than remaining silent

from what I know, she is like the only villain in this dramathere are no other antagonist. so i guess we need…
no one knows for sure but judging by the significantly fewer number of episodes and fulffiness of the drama so far I’m guessing they’re going to change even more than they’ve already changed. so far the dad who returned looks even worse than the one in the cdrama. he looks more like a gangster lol

You said “from what I know”, so I’m not sure if you’ve watched the original but if you haven’t don’t read this. he ze qui’s/ kang hae jun’s dad was also an antagonist and worse than the mother. his mother was also an antagonist at first until she was revealed innocent.

it was explained in the kdrama. they said she died because she was left alone with him and showed a scene with walnuts, maybe they’re just building up to the reveal of what exactly caused her death. also in go ahead it didn’t imply or make viewers feel the mum was at fault for leaving them, it was actually one of those ladies that gosspied that said such a thjng (she is responsible, yes, but it’s unfair to blame her for what had happened) plus i don’t remember who exactly said it but one of the characters defended her saying she had no idea it would happen. even the dad apologized for not getting her the help she needed in the end. the mum did feel guilt for what had happened but didn’t know how to deal with her grief so she placed all the responsibility on her innocent son because she couldn’t accept she was the one responsible for what happened.

is it just me or did the kdrama make the mum worse? like she was definitely a bad parent in the first episode of the cdrama as well but you could tell her irrational behavior and mood swings were due to her mental instability/ptsd, so it was easier to sympathize or at least understand her to some degree. in the kdrama she just seems more selfish and heartless, like she intentionally wants to her son. Especially in the scene where she abandoned him. in the cdrama she couldnt even bear looking at him in the eye and cried as she left, while in the kdrama it was like she was full of malice, intentionally dragging it out and showing no reaction and even looking at him with disgust. Again, I’m not saying the mum was a good parent in the cdrama, but you could tell she was also truly hurting inside and alot of her irrational anger was because she didn’t get the help she needed. While her character did annoy me in the cdrama (especially when she became paralyzed) i still liked the depth they gave her

right??? i literally just saw the movie yesterday and was gonna comment the same thing just now. it was all good…
the green screen definitely makes things a bit better, but it’s still very inappropriate regardless. at the end of the day such explicit scenes were made available to the public. there was absolutely no need for them to show children being groped and assaulted.

Title Forgotten
Highlighting the word 'Hypnosis' was too obvious. So the whole movie leading towards his escape to the police station,…
I’ll answer your questions if you’d like but before that please know that I’m not trying to be rude or condescending or anything I just really like explaining stuff lol.

So first of all he was hypnotized into believing he was actually 21. so just like he believed those people who look nothing like his family are his family, he never comprehended his actual reflection because that’s what he genuinely believed he looked like. the hypnosis broke when the officer mentioned it and he was forced to directly observe his surroundings (seeing phones, the news, etc).

the dream where he saw his fake brother hanging is probably just from his anxiety.

he didn’t lie to try to get on his good side either to avoid being killed. if that were the case he wouldn’t have commited suicide after being spared. he felt guilty for murdering innocent people and new he was at fault, and that guilt intensified when the other guy told him how miserable his life had been since. he didn’t want to make that guy even more miserable and lied in an attempt to at least lessen his fake brother’s trauma and suffering by saying his dad was innocent and taking all the blame, so that when his fake hyung kills him like he thought he would, he would be satisfied in carrying out his revenge. that’s why the guy changed his mind about killing him, because he realized the man in front of him was not a cold hearted killer and that there was probably more that meets the eye, such as him possibly being ‘forced to’, especially when you consider the fact that the fake brother knew the other blocked out the memories from the trauma of unintentionally killing innocent people .

because it's masterpiece. idk why some ppl think it otherwise
name one special thing about it then. like i don’t mean anything rude but not one thing about the movie wasn’t cliche. it’s one thing to enjoy a movie and another to call it one of the best pieces of media. aside from the acting everything was predictable, cliche, and over the top. the movie’s plot has already been written a hundred times before and in much better ways at that.
