dubbing has always been a thing with cdramas esp historical. from what i know, their filming sites have a lot of going on around them that their voices cannot be captured well. also china has a lot of dialects so accent differs. actors can dub themselves like the FL here. sadly, the ML has a tight sched he wasn't able to do his own dubbing. the va in this drama has a really close voice to his. he did dub himself in his other dramas tho.
