i think they're being sarcastic because the mains are not being treated like the mains. they're the main lead indeed but all characters are so interesting so you might get swayed and root for them (other characters) instead. but esther and zlh are really doing well in this drama. you should check it out soonest.

I like seeing gzy in the eyes of those around him. Jin Fan who had to step down from his high position to protect gzy. He should be resenting but instead ended up caring for gzy. Yun Wei Shan who keeps protecting gzy, helping him, of course with intents for her mission but still there's that sincerity in most of it. Zi Shang, among the cousins she could ally with, she went for someone who will understand her as a woman. Lady Wuji, while she could be an wufeng, there's no denying she cares for gzy in her 20 years stay in the Gong residence. Gzy is just annoying when he confront gsj and gyz. He has too much kindness that he does not belong with the Gongs. His desire to explore the outside world is very contrary to his role of sw. His character could have so much depth had he been written better. And I believe his weakness should not be something to be shamed and call names. When I was starting this show, i thought i would root for the serious smart gsj bcs hes exactly my type but I didnt see myself liking gzy instead. I guess that's his charm? I was caught in it 😄 Just my appreciation in the sea of complaints about his character hehe

ZLH looked so good in that blue outfit. And it felt like something changed in him then lol. That ending choreo too. Is he a fast learner or what. Anyways, yes another plot twist(?) there at the end.

i won't argue too much abt this but i think it somehow make sense for yws to be there and not just for the love story to develop but also she earned it. she planned it well for her mission. yes she's not a jade guardian but it seems that their identification is thru the jade bracelet and she has it so maybe that counts? but really she has to be there. when she said that wufeng should not be prioritizing the front hill bcs the back hill has something more interesting to know about, the more reason she should be there and for that to happen she has to tag along with ziyu.

gzy can bring a jade guardian with him during the trials. in this case, it's yws. i dont think the first trial even need help or preparation. it was a matter of mindset i think, so gzy passed it on his own, xue young master said so. well im just excited to explore more of the back hill so im looking forward to the trials. and i agree, writers are messing up :(
