I really have high hopes on this!! I think Zhou Ye, the female lead, already has the aura of Yan Hui in the photos, she's so stunning and although I've never really imagined how Yan Hui would look like but I think the photos are in line with the descriptions in the novel.

As for Neo Hou, I haven't watch any of his drama but from what I know so far his characters are sweet and light. Tian Yao is actually really hard to potray in my opinion because this dragon has lived for a millenium, has the wisdom of an old soul and taciturn to others but loves deeper than the sea and he has been broken once.

The conspiracies around Yan Hui and Tian Yao is also not light so I hope they do keep the dark parts so it could be more engaging, because some drama adaptions chose to play down the dark and angst and it ended up not representative of the real story. The story is bittersweet with enough humor along the way, and the bonus is a sweet ending. Really can't wait to see the drama!

Can I just say this first, I literally made an MDL account just to post good comments about this drama ???? This is my fav drama right now and I'm in the middle of rewatching it because that's just how good it is! I really wish they make a sequel or a few after story episodes, I can't move on from Jiu Chen and Ling Xi's chemistry. This is the first time in a few years that I feel so strong about a drama, the attachment I'm feeling right now has me searching for news and reviews about this everyday, lol, can you believe that?!!???? I also watch all the BTS making films to sate my craving for more Jiu Chen x Ling Xi interactions. So, anybody who is still hesitating, start watching right away!
