investigation, crime, and mystery drama. it starts with a police forensic doctor who tries to find out why he and his girlfriend had a car accident 2 years ago. but it actually opens up a whole chain of cases, from serial murders to a drug factory. the story moves really fast, and every case gets a clear ending so it doesn’t leave us confused. the autopsy scenes are quite detailed, so if you’re not from a medical background, it can be a bit hard to understand. the friendship between the police team members is really goals. the most heartbreaking part is when wan gets killed and zhu is caught in an explosion. you can really feel the loss and sadness. their emotional conflicts are also well shown, they have to stay professional even when they are not okay. if it wasn’t for qi sizhe being so stubborn and his big love for yu fei, maybe the secrets around him would never be revealedWas this review helpful to you?

badass drama i've watched so far
the plot is all about revenge, mostly for claiming the throne, but it’s executed so clean. fast paced, no dragging. everything the characters do actually makes sense there’s always a reason behind their actions. it really hits you with how betrayal feels, especially when it comes from your own family, siblings, or even the person you love.the main role is insanely OP from start to end, and even the support role carry their own responsibilities instead of just existing.
the romance is minim but powerful. feng suige, i swear, has enemies everywhere and every single one of them is dangerous literally the definition of a fearless first prince.
honestly, i’m still not over xia jingyan’s death, and the fact that zuo ye turned into a villain here is just criminal.

love and hate always come together
my expectations for this drama were really high because of zeng shunxi and bai lu. the first few eps felt a bit off, but i still kept watching. there are a lot of flashbacks that make it feel kind of draggy, but they actually fit the storyline. the more i watched, the more frustrated and stressed i... literally just staring at the screen. communication is key so things don’t turn into people trying to kill each other. their marriage problems are actually personal, but somehow they end up affecting like three different realms, which is crazy. overall, it’s definitely worth a rewatch.Was this review helpful to you?
