I have to say that I loved this drama. If you're looking for something that's a little more slow paced than some dramas that came out this year, I highly suggest this one. Plus the OST is amazing. It reminded me so much of the Japanese anime Your Lie in April (the OST not the plot lol). The acting is amazing, all of the actors just draw you in. I found myself crying so often in this one, almost every single episode. It also had the best ending. A whole ass episode dedicated just to wrapping everything up. I loved it. I hate when they only take 10 minutes or less to wrap everything up in a drama. This one was perfect.

So the boy being bullied to jump off the roof didn't offend you? Or the 4 boys being sent to the swimming pool…
Did you not see the “this is full of toxic masculinity” part? I thought that encompassed all of that. If not then I’ll say it here again. Boys Over Flowers is also FULL of toxic masculinity. The way that these people get away with everything is absolutely ridiculous. Where are the teachers? Where the people calling 119/112? Why is everyone just going along with it? How did this show get so popular and why is it still so popular when everyone is cracking down on bullying in South Korea. Even now, just a whiff of a ~30-year-old celebrity who maybe made fun of someone once in middle school can get them cancelled. And yet this show is still popular? WTF?

This movie was amazing. If you like historical war movies, I highly recommend this one. However, if you are a Shawol and don't want to watch Minho's character get killed off in the end, then I recommend maybe going to watch one of his dramas instead.

I personally loved this drama so much. I watched it after watching Empress Ki and Healer and I found it absolutely amazing. I personally love political thriller and action together (Captain America: The Winter Soldier was my favourite Marvel movie until Infinity War and Endgame knocked it down to 2nd place). Ji Chang Wook is AMAZING in this. He is such a great actor. He really is one of the few that can do every single genre out there. After watching this the first time I had to immediately watch it again because I felt that I missed so much the first time around and boy was I right. If you love action, political thriller and a little romance thrown in this is definitely the one for you. Plus it doesn't hurt that you get to see Ji Chang Wook fight other men in the shower :P. And yes they are naked. Unfortunately as this is a K-drama, the butts are blurred out. Still the sexiest thing you will watch.

I got as far as the 5th episode. I just couldn’t. One thing K-dramas have to get on board with is just because a girl is poor/not traditionally pretty does not mean that she is without table manners (only recently have they started to get on with this). I know talking with your mouth full of food isn’t considered rude in Korea but they went over board with the FL character in this. Also this is just full of toxic masculinity. I know this jump started Lee Min Ho’s career to where it is now but I just couldn’t get on board with it. I watched The Heirs and that was good enough for me.

What is up with rushed endings in so many K-dramas before 2018? Nowadays, there are a lot of K-dramas that have nice long endings, where we get to see the main characters be happy for a while and have everything tied up with a nice bow, but before 2018 there are soo many K-dramas where they catch the bad guy with only 10 minutes left and then they leave so many plot holes and things not explained. This was one of those dramas. I loved it up until the ending. The ending was just terrible. I was constantly at the edge of my seat and then they catch the bad guy with 10 minutes (not even) to spare and then it just ends with soo many unanswered questions.
