thanks for using your brain for the good :) here is Lis POV btw if you haven't seen it yethttps://youtu.be/bbNhhGOsa4g
I had not seen it yet, thank you! I definitely feel like that is a great bit of extra content for this season. It's great hearing from Song Li's POV about what his feelings really are. I do feel bad for him, having all this responsibility and not wanting to give up Song Qi even with so many people being so negative about it! That's a lot of complicated emotions to work through! I wish he could have at least one older adult in his life who supports him and his choices. He really didn't have to take on the raising of another kid, as a kid himself, because both of their parents failed somehow (or whatever happened to Song Qi's parents). I want him to find peace and happiness with Song Qi and not have to keep so much of every burden on his own shoulders.
I watched this with the knowledge that this is a show with a low budget in a country that doesn't support bl. Therefore, my only complaint was going to be the ending because I thought that was it, but then learned that there is more of this show coming. So, I thoroughly enjoyed this for what it is, look forward to the next season/special, and will not be contributing to the hate on this drama.
I loved this show! It starts out so strong with the obsessive/protective Song Qi, and Song Li just letting him go off while saying he shouldn't go off lol. I wish Song Li could be a bit less confusing to Song Qi, but I love the idea in episode 5 of Song Li actually reciprocating Song Qi's feelings this whole time, and provoking his obsessive/protective side. I feel like he's actually a little more twisted than Song Qi for that, and I love it! I hope they use that and expand on it in the next season.
And man Song Qi in episode 6? The emotions were great! I actually was a little mad on his behalf towards Song Li for waiting until Song Qi was really going for it, then rejecting him. I don't really blame him though, since it's a tough situation, and he's supposed to be the older, more responsible one. I don't use this word often, but their situation is /fraught/ with tension and complications. I hope they work things out in the end and find happiness together. But I also kinda hope that comes with more of this twistedness, cause I love twisty relationships sometimes.
