I'm watching it not for anyone in particular but since I know Hani is the lead, I went for it (and when I did, I thought it was already completed T-T). And also I'm crushing hard on Han Gyu Oh lmao. So this is gonna be part of my weekly watch until next year i guess, so I'm hoping its gonna be a good ride, a 50 episode makjang is a whole investment for me T-T

edit: also agreeing with what you said with the second FL, the writing is so weird, I thought they were gonna drag the hell out of seohyun and mujin, though I'm thankful mujin and seohyun didn't end up together nor gyurim and heungshik; i was gonna lose interest if they did that because we know its never gonna work.

mujin's attempt to try with seohyun is so weird because he knows he won't ever see her as a love interest and completely hung up on gyurim so that was weird to me. he already had 8 years to realize that his feelings won't ever change and has stayed the same until now, so why try and just ruin it for seohyun.

now, han gyeol being gyurim's biological son with mujin would've been convenient, but i think they didn't want to go with the typical plot, they wanna spice thing up

all of the han children have met the mother (even the twins) but gyu rim, production is edging us with the inevitable mom and eldest daughter reunion. THIS BETTER BE GOOD lol i expect confrontation and drama when gyu rim finally meets the mom.
