Title Moonlight
watched this after LGIEF in the hopes of getting over my miao miao and ziqi withdrawals but NO it's even worse now... D: the two of them really proved how well they work in ancient fantasy and also in the real world w both dramas and now i literally can't get over them and desperately waiting for shining star or even better yet a special extended ending of miaomiao and ziqi after that happy but unsatisfying ending :( anyway onto this drama!!

i rarely ever watch modern cdramas due to unnecessary plotlines that tend to be inserted, the last ones i've watched in full were hidden love and love is sweet over a year ago! this one also had some unnecessary plotlines and scenes where i felt that they focused way too much on chu li's company politics than her relationship with zhou chuan, but watching this one still felt like a breeze these past 3 days bc of its lightheartedness and INSANE chemistry between both the lead and second couple! the bromance was also off the charts btwn zhou chuan and jiang yuchen, i literally LMAO throughout all their scenes bc they're just so silly and even their brief love triangle w chu li were some of the best scenes in the show bc of how hard yuchen was still wing-manning his best friend despite supposedly liking the girl too, and how jealous and petty zhouchuan would get w his bff LMFAO !! thats tru broship fr <3 even his relationship w gu baizi i grew to love after not rly caring about them the first half cus they felt super melo to watch, but towards ep 20 and onwards i was rooting for them as much as the mains! it really felt like a sweet treat after LGIEF bc of the three leads i alr grew to love and couldn't get enough of!! this show made me smile n holler til my stomach hurt so much that the draggy and unnecessary parts don't even matter, i just NEEEED more of esther and ryan like nOW. u can tell how strong their friendship has grown after reuniting again and their chemistry was alr off the charts in this one!! the amount of times they kissed in moonlight was enough for me to move on from the *SPOILER ALERT* lack of in the other one... whoever decided to cast them together again deserves a heavy raise tho. and hopefully they keep getting casted together til they eventually end up like son yejin and hyunbin from CLOY if u know what i mean heheheh ~manifestinggg~~

regardless of what people like to criticize about esther's acting, you have to admit this girl has INCREDIBLE chemistry with all of her male leads. i didn't think i would ship her with anyone other than dylan for over a year since finishing LBFAD, but here i am today, hoping esther and DYX are actually the real deal now that i've just finished LIEGF and currently loving them in moonlight right now!! i've also watched romance of the little forest and her chemistry with her male lead there was also superb. she reminds me a lot of kim hye yoon, they both light up the screens with their bubbly personalities which most people like to pick them apart for and call their acting over the top, but they execute all of their emotional scenes with their partners literally flawlessly to where you can't get over them for a long time afterwards. the resemblance between them is so uncanny, they really do bring the best out of their male leads

Finally got around to completing the series today and now I feel empty, that the show is over, I wish it could…
i'm watching moonlight rn and i'm seriously obsessed with their chemistry 10x more !!! really makes u get over the void after finishing this one. so much more skinship in moonlight and their banter has me laughing and kicking my feet 24/7 while LGIEF had me crying all through the last 6 eps lol.. def such a mood booster!! recommend it starting it asap !! it really does feel like a continuation of LGIEF and a modern day reunion with miao miao, ziqi and fuyi LOL

going straight to moonlight for the therapy i need after that ending... kinda like how i did last year with til the end of the moon right to love is sweet to help me cope lmao but i will thank this drama for helping me get over my 2 year long esther and dylan withdrawals from LBFAD... tbh i was sooo excited to move onto this one!! something about this pairing is so special to me and makes me so emo... the enemies to lovers to i've always been in love w u arc def left me in a concoction of emotions the whole ride. 10/10 for me still despite the ending being a lil flat for a couple that went through hell and back together??? anyway i finished this in 2.5 days w only 4 hours of sleep in between... the way this love game sucked me right in the same way it did to modern day miaomiao in ep 1 LOL
On My Sweet Mobster Aug 13, 2024
halfway thru this but kinda dropped the ball... realized i don't really vibe with the FL that much?? she's a bit bland imo but the ML on the other hand is SO good... wanted to stick thru it for him but idk, not to mention the SML is also so unlikeable, he's like an annoying leech that adds nothing to the love triangle?? don't even know why the love triangle even needs to be there since nobody even likes the second guy anyway hahahaha anyway i think other than the mobster squad the rest of the cast just isn't compelling enough for me to continue :/ just my opinion! i can see why everyone likes this drama too

Title Miss Night and Day Spoiler
oh what this drama could have been ugh it had so much potential!! i binged all 16 eps in a matter of 2 days and even pulled allnighters while i couldn't really get through my sweet mobster which i was watching right before. the first 9 or 10 eps were so great and hilarious, my eyes were glued to the screen and i thought i had finally found my comfort drama after months of lovely runner deprivation. however the last 4 eps were an absolute slog to get through.. the serial killer plot dragged too much with many plot holes (how did the main killer not recognize middle aged lim sun but the doctor immediately did??) the main couple had also lost their spark as the FML was just so aggravating leaving the ML in the dark for practically the whole drama..... like i wasted all my energy just waiting for the moment where she would finally tell him the truth or have him catch her transforming or something, but nothing until literally episode 16. what were the writers thinking??? it was to the point where i was shipping her with ko won bc the main couple was giving me nothing. ko won was loving and immediately accepting of both old and young mi jin, and was showing more chemistry in just that hug alone than the main couple throughout the whole drama. it makes zero sense having the SECOND male lead find out her identity so early on and the male lead barely catching on as the drama is abt to end? ...then dumps him on top of it??? ugh, eunji's been my bias in apink since reply 1997 too and i think she's an amazing actress and singer. pls i want her to have her kim hye yoon and kim ji won breakthrough drama this girl is so talented :(

also why did the writers not even think to introduce her friend to her top celebrity crush and have her get together with the investigator that could be the same age as her dad??? this was so random, writers must really be on drugs thinking this pairing would make more sense than ga young x ko won like what? i loudly gagged through all of gayoung and investigator ju's scenes... justice for ko won he didnt deserve to end up alone

unfortunately, drama could have been a 10/10 for me just based on the first 9 eps alone but quickly dwindled to a 7. most points go to lee jung eun who still did an amazing job as lim sun despite the plot dragging on, i mainly watched for her and eunji but miss day def stole the show. i always get excited when i see her casted after her stellar performance in parasite. excited to see her with go minsi in the frog next!

hmm i’m almost at the finale and while it’s not “good” by any means, writing is definitely sloppy and characters feel unfleshed to say the least, but it was still an entertaining watch. jae-i going back to ri an felt so forced, like did we not see her lowkey catch feelings foe kang ha in the earlier eps? pls it felt so in cohesive like the writer switched ships halfway through. i know the jae i and ri an had a great relationship and many lovely memories but after the breakup it seemed like she genuinely was done w him ??? she was even the one warning kangha not to get in his way, making him seem like the lead bully enabling the abuse, and further fueling kangha’s vengeful thoughts towards him, only to turn around and claim he’s a good person lol idk this show was all over the place but at least it was an easy watch at the end of the day. but netflix can’t be coming out w shows like this and still act bitter and butthurt for turning down shows like lovely runner

Person Kim Hye Yoon
Its a sad truth tbh. Same as old popular romance drama, only the male lead will get the endorsements, hvg fan…
hot take but she and jisoo shouldve switched roles in snowdrop , at that point HY alr had two leading roles under her belt and jisoo none and her acting was honestly not the best (not bad for starters though). that wouldve been hyeyoon’s opportunity to act alongside jung haein, a veteran actor and showcase her versatility. the drama wouldve been famous regardless w jisoo’s name in it even if she wasn’t the main female lead. glad HY is getting the recognition now but still feels like she’s getting the short end of the stick in a way

There's a discrepancy in the quality of acting from both of them. I hope it won't impact the other actress negatively.…
joy has never been bad LOL i would say she doesn’t have much exposure and her acting is just a bit surface level at best. she just needs more projects to polish her skills like suzy who started off rough too, but the more she worked w veteran actors the more she visibly improved. sm needs to promote joy more, u can tell she loves acting but hasn’t found a suitable project yet 😭 i believe she’ll undergo the hye yoon impact w this role the way rowoon blossomed from acting w her too!
On Extraordinary You May 30, 2024
the drama that would shoot the 3 main leads into stardom 🥹 can’t believe it’s been 4 years and hyeyoon, rowoon and jaewook are all a list actors now, ex you really paved the way. one of my fav dramas of all time pre-covid
On Lovely Runner May 30, 2024
i am indeed a loser just like sunjae, all i’ve been doing since yesterday has been repeatedly rewatching the ending of ep 15 and entirety of ep 16 on an endless loop and even taking extended bathroom breaks during my work just to get my fill of soljae and ugly sobbing at the same scenes over and over again 😭 the CHOKEHOLD this drama has had on me this past month is litrly unhealthy, havent been able to focus on anything else fr. i really didn’t think any drama could top cloy and the absolute emotional wreck it made me for over 4 years but have finally found my favorite drama of all time<3 byeon wooseok is really an expert on making me the most delulu simp ever over the most unrealistically perfect fictional character to ever exist since 20th century girl 2 years ago, even netflix is crying
On Yumi's Cells Season 2 Jul 18, 2022
Title Yumi's Cells Season 2 Spoiler
i normally don't leave comments, but i felt like i had to make an account just to express my frustrations with how woong was brought back and the humiliation the writers have been putting him through so far. i feel like he was just brought back to backstab us season 1 lovers. yumi is so incredibly petty and downright mean to him now, when she used the time he told yumi to stop yelling at saeyi as retaliation in the hospital scene during the whole woong vs babi showdown was such a low attempt to make herself feel superior in some sort of way like she thought karma really applied in that situation? during that time, yumi was causing a ruckus at woong's workplace which was why he told her to stop, despite yumi being right about saeyi she chose the wrong place and time to be causing a scene. but what did woong still do at the end? he still sided with her. woong always drew his boundaries with saeyi and never allowed himself to waver bc he pretty much worshipped the ground yumi walked on, and these past few eps in this season so far still shows that he does. his only issue is communication, but we all know that his character was meant to be depicted as a flawed human with many financial hurdles and not the most experienced socially, but was still unconditionally in love with yumi, even up until the day he finally became successful years later. his intentions were always pure and good. however, babi? woong was simply pointing out how discourteous babi was being by lending his jacket to yumi right in front of him when he knew she was clearly taken by woong. what was so wrong about that? he was absolutely right, and as we've seen so far babi's actions have just been repeated behavior carried on from his previous relationship and what is currently ruining his relationship with yumi to this very episode. everything woong said was correct, but yumi couldn't bear to hear it because she's clearly already so fixated in her babi tinted glasses that she's literally ignoring all the red flags. did she forget his disingenuous response when she asked him at what point he started liking her? bro couldn't even answer bc he clearly started liking her when he was with his ex at the time, and had to pull some bullshit answer out of his a**. smh. babi is clearly someone who thrives off a woman's validation, regardless of who he's currently with. when his ex wasn't giving him the time of day, he put his focus on yumi. when he was in jeju doing ldr with yumi, daeun came into the picture and shook his entire being to the core (and lowkey stalked this girl who isn't his gf at the bus stop??). woong is a perfectly flawed human being, but he never stopped loving yumi to this very day although she doesn't deserve crap. she can stay with babi and forever stay anxious the next time he's either going to cheat or lie to her again. all i want is woong's happiness at this point, he can do so much better than having both of those toxic individuals around him. he's already come so far, pls don't regress bc of some girl with dumb bangs lol (no offense to goeun, i love her and all the actors in this drama and have been a long time ahgase, they're all nailing their roles). even for babi, i prefer him to just cave into his feelings for daeun so yumi can realize how pathetic she's been all along lol i hate yumi sm these past few eps. this is coming from someone who loved season 1 so much i waited 7 months highly anticipating the new season, but i really have just been disappointed so far. i don't see yumi's development whatsoever, she's just petty and insecure so tbh i don't want her ending up with anyone with only these last 2 eps left. unless the writers can magically find some way to make me like her again i am so tired of her never ending carousel, just stay single girl for the sake of all of us

ty for reading my rambling rant :D
