That Salon Drip preview has a severe chokehold on me. It did kind of heal my pain from the last two episodes. But seriously, why are they feeding my delusion?!!?

The cigarette incident did happen. Taesung mentioned that she’s still the same reckless person that took the cigarettes away from those kids in high school. He said this over dinner after she wrote her apology letter at the police station in ep 13. Sol didn’t move away right away. When the moving truck left, SJ was in a shoulder brace so it must be after the competition when he injured himself again. Sounds like she was still secretly protecting him while staying out of his sight.

this isn't solely a SJ problem. this is a BWS problem.

I didn't realize it was the same actor at first either! He was so much calmer in that role 😂

I mean, they literally showed that when she moved way, SJ was in his shoulder band, which means she did spend some time in the same high school even if she did eventually move away. TS in the present timeline also made comments about the smoking outside the pool incident still happening. I think it is kind of spelled out clearly why they are still friends... haha.

I thought it was always SJ's watch in every timeline. The one she initially time traveled with was the one she bought from an auction as his fan and it activated when he died in the first time line. In the final time line, he never makes it as an idol, so the watch on his body becomes the time machine when he died.

No childhood trope please! I like their meeting as is under the yellow umbrella. Not every kdrama needs a childhood trope 😭😭😭

I agree that some of it may seem like plot holes but this is how I rationalize some of it

1. She didn't move away right away. We can see that when she moved away, SJ already had his shoulder injured again. She stayed at the high school for a little bit, and the incident where she tried to stop people from smoking outside the swimming pool did still happen. TS said so. She probably still tried to do certain things to try to help her friends end up on the right path. TS was never an actual delinquent. He was always just misunderstood.
2. His dad is a cop. He's naturally intuitive. They've hinted many times that he'd make a good cop. I don't think he needs a person to protect in order to be a cop. It's a perfectly fine profession.
3. I liken his experience to deja vu, where sometimes people feel like they've been somewhere before but they know they've never actually been. SJ is also the owner of the watch time machine and it activates when he dies. He is somehow linked to the time traveling.
4. grandma is not a deity. I think someone else explained it better, but something about her dementia impacting her ability to know/see certain things about the previous timelines. That's been a recurring theme for grandma as well.
5, He never met Sol, so he never wrote Sonaki. He didn't end up singing it with Eclipse. With that face and tall stature, he should be in the entertainment business. He was probably scouted by someone else. Remember he had bad grades. Without Sol, he probably didn't have the motivation to study hard and get into a decent college with her 🤣 I don't think we should nitpick their professions. A ton of things could've happened in those 15 years that put them in their current profession.

It's just a pitch right? I don't think it's a fully written script yet. Also, Sol probably changed some character details so it's not super obvious. Maybe instead of swimming, she picked a different sport. If she wants to make it into a movie for all to see, there's a chance SJ will see it too. So I doubt she made it exactly the same.

I have faith it'll be a happy ending. BWS said he cried reading the script of Ep 16, and I know it was tears of joy... that's what I'm going to keep telling myself. Together with Sol he's going to break the curse of dying (permanently) in his dramas this time 😭
