In the story, Pei Heng was engaged to Chen Qian Qian from their childhood up until she met Han Shuo and decided to marry him instead. PH actually disliked "story" QQ and was never interested of marrying her, but ended up falling in love with her when the "real-life" QQ entered the story. She never gave him a chance tho, even when HS and QQ's relationship wasn't at its best, so don't worry! There are a few scenes of HS being jealous, but that's pretty much it for the love triangle because QQ-HS relationship overshadowed PH's one sided love lol
