Title Dear Hyeri
Shin Hye Sun fumbled the bag by choosing this drama. This is a poor quality, 5/10 script that was elevated by…
tbh, while I don't like the development in eps 9 and 10, this has so far been such a good drama, and acting is superb on all fronts. I have no idea what you are saying, choosing this role was a great decision and I hope to see her in many more complex roles like this. although ofc I would hope that next time writes don't mess up their own build up in the same manner. but I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens by the end.

Title Dear Hyeri
I can't understand the excessive hate for the ML. Just because he didn't want to marry her and broke up with her?…
actually, I have a problem with most of these dramas you mentioned (the ones I've watched or tried watching at least).

I actually couldn't get past the first episode of Queen of Tears because I thought their relationship was so toxic. (although everyone tells me it's a good drama, and that I should keep watching).

I think people have stronger reactions to Dear Hyeri because they are so invested, it's been such an interesting and well developed drama from the start, with excellent acting. it was so promising and we were all hoping for a good healing story. but what happened in ep 10 feels more like going back to old bad ways than healing, so it's difficult not to feel let down and disappointed.

however, Dear Hyeri is still one of the best dramas of 2024 for me, even if I don't like the ending, because they made me care so much about the characters.

rating drops - people are going crazy they just can't digest the fact that FL choosing ML over SML . bro he is…
lol, it's like we didn't watch the same show at all. from episode 1 he kept making her miserable, not happy. that's what people are not liking - that she's going back to someone who never respected her enough, who kept her insecure and even fed into her inferiority complex. I get that he has his own trauma that he has to deal with, and I actually want him to get better too, but them getting back together is such a bad choice. at least at this point and from what we've seen so far.

and a bonus question: where is Hyeri? she is a part of her, and this Eun-ho does not seem healed or complete to me at all. but I guess we'll see what they do in the last 2 episodes.

Title Dear Hyeri Spoiler
Its hard for people to understand Hyeri is the person who liked the SML.. Not Eun Ho.. Eun ho has always loved…
No, what some people find hard to understand is that Hye-ri is also a part of Eun-ho. A subconscious part that's been ignored and hidden away-yes, but part of her. Remember when her doctor said that the process of healing is to bring them both together into one complete person? Where is Hyeri in all this?

And from my point of view Eun-ho does not love Hyeon Oh, she's just starving for love and comfort, so she's stuck in their good memories and mistaking her obsession for love. It's more like an addiction for which she is willing to ignore all the red flags, the lack of communication and other problems they've had. She also doesn't seem to question her own past inability to share with him what hurts her so much. And she's always feeling inferior to him. So yes, she is toxic towards herself, and both of them just kept repeating their old mistakes.
That's why I was hoping she would heal properly, allow herself to bring her two sides together before making any final decisions.

As for Hyeon Oh, if he wants her back, I want to see him realize his past mistakes first and that he's willing to change, before they rush back into another shipwreck of a relationship. He has so far been unobservant, not seeing himself or her clearly. having a completely twisted idea of love, masking himself as a "saviour", while in fact he's detached, not allowing true intimacy, leaving the other person out, and not respecting them enough to let them decide about their own life. He also has unresolved trauma he needs to heal. I wish all the best for him too, truly.

I just don't think that the two of them together is a good idea. Too easy to go back to old bad patterns. going back to your ex is not a good idea in 99.999999% of the cases. There was a reason why it didn't work the first time. It's usually just that in time people forget about the bad stuff, especially if they are lonely. why can't they just keep the good memories and move on with their lives?

P.S. I have no idea what you mean by "comments are like this because of the actor". I love all actors in the show, they are all so amazing (and gorgeous).

Title Dear Hyeri
I love this drama but damn, the more I think about it, the more confused I am.Maybe confused isn't the right word.…
Everything you said about Eun Ho and Hyun Oh is pure gold, and I could sign those sentences as my own.

As for Hyeri, I see what you mean, but she is enjoying every moment, and appreciating the simplicity of life.

I think she has a much better grasp on what matters in life, as she is living it, instead of being stuck in her head, worrying, depressed, obsessed and miserable. she's following her heart. and she is the cure to Kang's wound.

But WHERE IS Hyeri?
I was really hoping for a different development, but episodes 9 and 10 crushed my hopes and dreams of healing and happiness 💔

Title Dear Hyeri Spoiler
I can't believe I made an account just to comment on this drama!!Watched episode 9 and 10. Took almost 2hrs to…
thank you! you don't understand how happy I am to come here and see so many people share my frustrations after watching episodes 9 and 10. like argh, what were the writers thinking?! and with only 2 episodes left to the end, I don't have high hopes they'll fix it.

but anyway, thank you for pointing out how JHO always made decisions on his own in their relationship, and never gave her a choice. I thought it was so important to mention so as not to romanticize an old relationship that ended for a reason. going back to your ex is such a bad idea in 99.99999% of the cases.

I'm still in denial, blindly hoping she'll find her sister (ideally it would turn out that real Hyeri had lost her memory and moved on to become announcer too, and is in fact working right next to KJY), hoping she'll realise that KJY is the right person for her, as everything from the beginning points to it, I could write at least 10 pages about that, but I won't.

but with what the writers did in these last ones, I can only say to myself - tough luck. 😢 I'm so sad, this was one of my faves of 2024, and now I feel it's ruined. 😭💔

I'm also incredibly sad about her other self - Hyeri. we haven't seen her for a century, and the show has her name. she needs to come out, join EH and fix this! 😭

I was really enjoying this show (even with all the stupid choices FL's made so far) and was kind of hoping that something we are not aware of would wash ML's brother's face. However... no longer convinced Lee Shin can be redeemed. He keeps making terrible choices, then just when I think it can't possibly get any worse, it does. 🤦🏻‍♀️

On the other hand, FL is fantastic at being bland and uninteresting, and somehow incredibly manages to make decisions as if she's never read a single book about psychology, let alone that she's a doctor for the mind. The irony, LOL

Cute little show, easy to binge. Touching at times, ridiculous at others. Loved the characters and their relationships.
FL is so open and and not afraid to be embarassed, that it's completely disarming. ML is a dream, even with all his seriousness, frowning, and sometimes even rudeness. The warmth radiating from inside is palpable.
Loved the show.
