what’s even left to lose at this point 😭at this rate all the upcoming dramas gonna have literal skeletons…
She gained weight for her “confidence Queen”—have you watched it? They probably meant that she needed lose weight again to fit this role (which sounds like a role of extremely depressed person?)

Dang the drama didn’t come out and people are just body shaming and self diagnosing the actress to ishh. Yall also love to m liberally use the “r” word but also care about EDs? From her most recent promotional posts, it looks like she gained majority of weight she lost (please see her IGs if you’re REALLY concerned for her weight). While I agree that the beauty standard in Korea is crazy, rather than judging the actress for the need to lose weight to meet those standards (if indeed that’s why she lost weight), I am going called Korea for the things they force women (specially older women) to do. on the other hand, it looks like she’s probably portraying a depressed person in this drama, and if you know anything about depression, sometimes it can looks like extreme weight loss—again we don’t know until the drama comes out. The thing is, if she doesn’t do her job, yall cry later that she didn’t try hard enough. When she does try, yall crying about how SHE, and ONLY She is fostering the impossible Korean beauty standards (and apparently ED). Again blame the society rather than the women. But alas, please let the rest of us enjoy a women-centered drama for once

The cast and crew is stacked. The plot looks intriguing and I can feel the chemistry. I really wish people would just focus on the drama and stop body shaming actresses in the era of 2026, post Christ, post ED awareness, post relentless bullying women to the point of self-unaliving. If you wanna criticize an actor’s performance, that ok—they can improve/work on that. But dang, the absolute relentless body shaming, advice giving like someone died and made you the actresses’ (and it’s always the actress) doctor and god—what you want them to do? Levitate their souls out of their current body and put it in one that fits your beauty standards? You will be the same people, posting about “kindness” if actress makes a drastic decisions. Yall need chill and get a life (please let the rest of us enjoy the kdrama).

I must say, what is everyone’s problem with Park Min Young? You all constantly say that she only does office romcoms, yet you don’t watch anything else she releases. Have you watched Sungkyunkwan Scandal, City Hunter, Glory Jane, Healer, Remember, Queen for Seven Days, Marry My Husband, and Confidence Queen?

She has a diverse acting portfolio, unlike your favorites. For instance, Kim Soo-yoon plays the same dud crybaby in every drama, Park Shin-hye is the expressionless wide-eyed lovestruck girl next door, and Yoona in her historical dramas is the main love interest of the male lead. I like both of these actresses, (f*** KSY tho)) but I just wanted to show that there’s not really a large pool of scripts for these actresses to choose from.

You don’t want to watch anything else than romcoms and complain when an actress is doing romcoms (because that’s what most people watch). If you don’t like Park Min Young, then don’t watch her drama and move on. Why waste your breath and time making up excuses to put someone down?

There’s also a heavy dose of misogyny in K-drama fandoms. You all ride at dawn for actors doing the most heinous things, but God forbid an actress became too thin for a role or she chose similar scripts maybe three times in her life. You’ll give your firstborn for actors doing the same basic tropes, but an actress can’t do anything right for you. You don’t mind when an actor is working an actress who 11 years or younger than them (e.g. Park Seo Joon, chi chang wook, song Joong ki) but will eat an actress alive if she does the same. What do you want from PMY? get a life

This is one of the best if not THE best short cdrama I watched. The story, the couple, the acting, THE MUSIC CHOICE! Usually short Cdramas have awful music choices but this one—whoever the director is, chose the music wisely.

Yall gotta chill with your obsession with her body and face. You don’t let her live when she had a bit chubby face during “my ears candy”, you don’t let her live when she skinny during “marry my husband” cause her character demanded that. Yall will praise a male actor when they go through extremes to fit a character but a female actress does it, it’s all “she didn’t need to do that, she looks ugly!” We all wish her to be healthy but yall your “well wishes” is always veiled with misogyny and vile comments about her body. Let the woman live! Let all the actresses live dear lord!
