I think this is part of the PZ personality whether its the cheese or strawberry PZ. I think it's fine though. I like characters with flaws. You might say that this part of his personality is what makes him a brilliant mathematician, he is driven and would not be sidetracked from his goals. And because SPZ also has this quirk sooner or later they will solve P=NP.
