This is definitely a slow burn. The pacing makes sense considering the ml's personality. He's been actively placing himself as a best friend thru out their relationship that he had a hard time transitioning where he does not actively push and always wait for the fl's cue.

Lol... Been reading comments on weibo for this drama... Heavy criticism on looks for the 2 male leads but but generally positive on the drama plot and acting. Zhang Xincheng got the brunt on the looks department especially on his eyebrows and his hairstyle. For me, I didn't notice those although he could use a little bit of weight on him and I've seen some manhua fanart of Fei Du and he definitely fits Pei Su. ZXC acting though was goosebumps especially the scene of him just sitting playing with the coin, that one was artistically shot...
