Title 20th Century Girl Spoiler
I DIDN'T SEE IT COMING UNTIL THE END. I'M SO SAD.I THOUGHT I WAS WATCHING A ROM-COM.
Now I'm going to keep thinking about how they didn't even get to enjoy their little time together and what kind of a terrible accident he died in and whether he was in pain and what his last thoughts were and ............. gosh, I'm so sad now :'(
I see all these theories that he died on the plane trying to go back to Korea to see her and I just ... oof. My heart can't take that.

Title The Oath of Love Spoiler
Maybe its my psychology background talking... but... That moment when FL found ML after knowing the truth why…
I would also like to piggy back off of this and add that I interpreted Gu Wei as someone who kind of needed his butt kicked in order to get back up on his feet! If you recall his trauma with his teacher and how Xiao Xiao guessed that plenty of people have already reassured him that it wasn't his fault, he was still wallowing in his self-blame. He had people in his corner for this problem as well, but Gu Wei's response to setbacks is usually to build barriers and recede. You can see this same response when he thought that Xiao Xiao liked Shao Jiang, he decided to step back and give up on her. TBH, it's kind of amazing that he tried to talk to Xiao Xiao after the events resolved as many times as he did (the sandwich, waiting outside her workplace, calling, flowers, faking sick) LOL. Xiao Xiao, on the other hand, responds to setbacks by burrowing straight ahead. Her resilience is her greatest strength and also one of the characteristics that attracted him to her. She lit a fire inside him to fight for himself, and she may be the only person who can really inspire him to (i.e., when San San tried to provoke him to pursue Xiao Xiao harder, it had the opposite effect). Gao Xi and Dr. Du already tried comforting him, but the only way for him to move forward is to believe in himself. She knows that he can do it because he was the one who changed her mind about his work ethic in the beginning. He just needs conviction. So Xiao Xiao said that he may have failed as a boyfriend *BUT* as a doctor, he still has a chance.

Title My Country: The New Age Spoiler
SUNHO NEVER GOT TO SAY GOODBYE. No matter how many lies he spits out, no matter how many times you want to question his motive, he has always truly cared for Yeon. Time and time again he had put his life on the line to save her. What an injustice for not just Hwi but also for Sunho that Yeon had to die like that. And to let Nam Jeon have the satisfaction of delivering the most painful blow in their lives after making it hell already. Ahhh. I'm still upset, y'all.

Title My Country: The New Age Spoiler
I'm so upset right now. EPISODE 9. I should have known that she would die, but how could it be like that?! I can maaaaaybe understand her being in shock and frightened to not being able to run away (your adrenaline is supposed to kick in though, girl!!! RUN), but... Heejae's bodyguard was so much closer to Yeon than Hwi was ..... what.... on.... earth..... The logistic of that scene is frustrating me so bad right now. Hwi fought so hard for his life just to protect his sister this entire time and now she's gone.

Anyone else think they've moved on and then the OST is the next song on shuffle and then you start crying while driving to work or is that just me...?

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
If you're looking for a total romcom story where it's all about their relationship then maybe this drama isn't…
Falling back in love without that connection from their past is definitely one of my favorite things about them as well! It is also one of the most tragic, so I'm a confirmed masochist LOL. I've been going back over how they meet and fall in love both times, and it breaks my heart how they're drawn to each other no matter the circumstance. It's their fate. Their bickering relationship is very natural! And it shows that they're comfortable with the other though I suppose Xiao Feng would fight with just about anyone haha. This drama doesn't follow that normal dynamic where the leads fight initially but once they fall in love, they're suddenly only sweet and loving. In fact, they're hardly ever sweet or loving... ^^; Even if they were, it was beneath the layers of another argument!

I agree. Their relationship is the core of the drama, but you may not get a lot of fluff. Still, their dynamic is so fun to watch. Their sweet moments are treasure, and the impact of these precious moments really cuts you deep because of the setting. I gave the drama a 10/10, so my opinions are skewed, but if you're remotely interested at all then I think it's worth at least trying a few episodes! I think you will be able to decide for yourself whether you're invested in their relationship or not within the first arc of the story.

God, this is one of those show you really can't forget. It hurts watching this show and the hurt lingers afterwards.…
I wish I could pin this comment to the board! Every minute of this journey is worth it!
