lol didn't all dramas produced under production company + tencent penguin all have the tencent logo? quality op/en sequence is not a stranger to historical cdrama except those b rated production with no cast we can recognize and cheap costumes. SSOFV is the same situation as Heroes where the outsider production company have limited budget and pour all into production and co-producer/broadcaster tencent don't invest money into marketing and hype except Heroes was luckier they got free marketing from a popular director and two popular idols. Those tencent magical hype only reserved for S+ dramas or whichever artistes they want to support, and everyone knows Xing Fei and Liang Jie are just low key artistes and not among tencent princesses

No you got it wrong the producing company is not rich, they spend most of the money into the production especially the action scenes, Xing Fei's mainland fans told me this drama is not Tencent's own Tencent is only the sole broadcaster, that's why you don't see the drama being promoted or hyped so much and quickly aired without big publicity.

You should blame Jin Yong lol.... the ending of your three favorite characters follow the novel where HF was left by YZY who become a monk and CLS sacrificed to save him...yes solid drama and one of Feifei's most serious

Sadly it's underrated and has no promotion even though it's a good authentic wuxia. Many China people don't even know it's on, and the small amount of Jin Yong original novel fans who watched are overly critical on it and criticise even the slightest bit of modification over the original novel. I'm happy though that it has proved that Xing Fei can act in non idol drama!

from my simple understanding the main storyline has a few main points running concurrently 1. the discord between imperial court and wulin people
2. the triangle relationship between HF, ZY and LS
3. the revenge relationship between HF and MRF

although the ending is like that, i think this drama is quite good overall and better than my expectation especially for the fight parts i think the craetor wants this drama to be taken seriously. i'm happy fei has the chance to act in a serious wuxia drama like this.

what a fxxked up ending, what did i just watch. the ending fights are superb but the strongest martial arts master in the drama didn't deserve to die like that and what's with that woman suddenly jump up there and got hit with arrow like that to die. this drama just don't want any of their main cast to have a good ending 😑😑😑

LS's ending is just as i expected but i still cried for her, why didn't the script just let them live peaceful life in the poison valley

I came because so many people hyped the ML's ABS lol...but unlike other comments here i think the drama is overrated sorry, the acting are mediocre especially FL and including ML, the only good part is ML is HOT and has that ABS and his character so hotly domineering

I recalled that too but she still dies because of poisoned to save ML, in the previews she and the ML are living happily in the valley before her end 😭
