Kdrama creators nowadays think that all they need is a budget high enough to cast a popular artist and to conduct heavy promotion...doesnt matter if the script sucks.

One of the most underappreciated artists. She slays every role. I haven't come across a scene where she wasn't expressive. She knows how to act with her eyes too. She also has such a unique physical appearance, it doesn't feel enough no matter how much I watch her. I hope chinese beauty standards dont push her into becoming excessively thin and fair, like how they have made so many artists suffer.

I understand it may not have made sense to you, but imo it was perfect for the plot and Cheng's character. Since she thought of herself as invisible, actually turning invisible gave her the breakthrough that she needed. It also has a symbolic meaning that it's essential for a person to stop considering themselves to be unimportant. Moreover it made her loved ones realise how they'd been unknowingly unjust to her at times while also conveying to Cheng just how much they really loved her.

No idea why it's so low rated, I'm really enjoying it so far. Tho I've only watched a few eps. I'm curious however, who was the original female lead?

This drama is too underrated. Had the kind of pacing, development and writing that's very fulfilling unlike how in most dramas it fluctuates and tends to get inconsistent. The second lead couple was also a true gem!

Because of you, it's as if Wen Yifan actually is a real person. Since the beginning I've been stunned by your ability to portray her character. I've been stunned by how much I care and root for Yifan. When she's crying, I'm crying too. When she's happy, I'm happy too. How did you do that really?

I was really excited about this one but was heavily let down, maybe because I expected too much. Decided to drop after 13 episodes. There was literally not a single character I cared for, rooted for. Everyone was too one-dimensional. Which is a pity because the story and settings seemed interesting. For me however, even a drama with an average story could be a top favourite if the characters are people I can connect with, people I feel for (not necessarily all of them, at least the main and their surrounding ones.) I would've watched more of this one because I kept thinking it would get better, but I saw many reviews that said the characters remain like that. Every episode felt like a story was being narrated to me, which isnt what I look for. I also didn't like Yang Mi's acting at all. This one for me makes it the second dropped drama that had her. Anyway it really depends on what matters to a viewer. If I were to give an example, The Starry Love is a favourite of mine because even though it had a pretty average story, my heart still still still smiles when I think about the characters.

I totally agreee!!! The characters are absolutely endearing, ofc apart from a few. What I mean is, most characters felt like real people to me! That's how well they were written, and how talented the actors are. I just love when characters are not static, different sides are shown, changes are shown, etc. One dimensional characters are just a big no for me in a drama.

Sisterhood is the core of this drama!! It's one of the things that made it very impactful, for me.

I had such a complaint too. I was afraid they would show little of tang and cheng's relationship, but that's absolutelyyy nott the case. The connection between tang falling for cheng and her other versions was flawlessly done imo. Their bond was very endearing.

Just finished this and I'm sooo gladd I watched this!!! I was already a fan of Landi and Jianci, and this made me an even greater fan! It was sooooo refreshing. The buildup throughout the drama both in terms of plot and characters were so unexpectedly nice. From the beginning till the end, I was never bored or uninterested. The ending was also not rushed, and I found very little amount of unnecessary scenes, if any. Sure, I did not like Tang at first, but that changed completely!! There wasnt one character I didn't like. Everything was just the right amount. The relationship of the leads were so endearing and heartwarming. No idea why some people are not liking it. Sure, everyone has different taste but to expect perfect characters is unfair tbh.

@RomanticRosebud_BL I already had MM on my plan list, but this info makes me even more eager to watch it! And you're so right, they were such a healthy couple!! It was so emotional to find such a relationship where both of them never hesitated to save each other even if it's at the cost of their life. And the most beautiful thing was that this concept didn't exist in just between them but also in every relationship, between the two sisters as well as Tan and Man Man. Oh no, my bad. I'm still fresh from it's memories and couldn't stop rambling...hehe

I couldn't be that patient, dropped after 9 eps. Idk why it's so popular. I think it's cuz it makes people nostalgic of their school days, but for some reason I didn't feel like that lol. I don't remember school days being all about having a crush and having friends. I mean yes to some extent, but there are many other things too. As far as I had watched the characters were absolutely bland and one-dimensional. The only thing that got me through was the cast, cuz even with a bland script and character they managed expressions and dialogues very well.

I finished TSL a week ago and I still can't forget them!!! Their story was so heart-touching to me honestly. I wish they had another drama together:'((( both of them are so frigging underrated.

I'm very much surprised to see people not finding this interesting. It literally had me in its grip from the start lol. It's been 10 years and still it's rightfully one of the best shows ever. People cannot forget this one even after so many years. I would never call it overrated, deserves every bit of popularity.

One of the best comedy shows for me!! It had realllyyy good main and side characters. However the highlight of this show for me was Ma Tan. He's absolutely amazing!! I'm so glad he's starting to gain recognition now. Hoping to see him playing leads.

The last scene was an implication that she started liking him!! The rest has been left for imagination, but it's pretty clear they will end up together since both of them like each other.
