Jane is the kind of co-worker everyone wished for. I need to go into the office tomorrow for a couple of hours and I'll miss him.

I think this whole series is about Ryan's growth as a person and as a working professional. Jane is guiding him perfectly, even though Ryan keeps making a mistake after mistake. Jane is harsh but fair, he wants to teach him the consequences of his actions. I never care about age difference, don't even know how many years is here, but until Ryan learns to be a responsible, matured adult, Jane will not give in. Jane has the knowledge and the experience, Ryan has none.
