I'll just answer the "Phob’s political choice" part. The series is based on real historical events and thus Phob's character is portrayed as a very strong believer. He's equally dedicated to the cause he's supporting and to the love he has for Thin.
He's torn between these two to a point he's even questioning his political choice, but he also sees the big picture that this choice makes a difference or will make a difference in the years to come, which is now modern day Thailand (guess who thought him that).

Heart wrenching is what this series is and I'm soooo here for it. 🥺 Episode after episode, I cannot praise the cast more. Every single person has its place, story and is doing a fantastic job, nothing more, nothing less. But today, my whole admiration goes to grandma. She literally made me teary in every freaking scene. Lady Eed Duangjai Hathaikarn, I bow to your talent, may you grace us with your acting for many more series to come!

Sadly, sometimes people are just to quick to comment and not look into the depth of the characters. In this series, there's no black and white but multiple shades of any color.
I think I've said it somewhere in the early episodes but if you're here just for the BL, the NCs and the pretty faces, you're definitely in the wrong place. Phob, Thin, Chad, the father, grandma, they're all very complex characters.
This series comes with real Thai history, Thai culture of the century and understanding why the characters are what they are. Once you stop applying your 21st century whatever and do some google search, I promise you, you will LOVE it!

Especially these days, it's hard to find people who stand by their believes, principles and literally have balls. Phob is just one of these rare gems.

Let me be very straight here, since it's going to be my favorite BL series this year. It's based on real events, ask Wki or chatgpt, I cannot care less. They cannot twist history and the writers are doing their best. When you watch a historical series, at least do me the curtsy to research it beforehand,
