Synopsis kinda sounds like 13 reasons why, i personally wouldn’t watch if that were the case, but there’s no tags on whether it’s the serious and dark type of drama so i gotta read the book first, also heard cheng lei will be the ml, can’t wait for this pairing

Mido’s character is definitely complex, rn it’s hard to say either of them love eachother fr and not bc of guilt and pity or gratefulness , and they need to get back tg bc I can’t stand seeing them with the second pairing.. the 10s eye contact bs and the lawyer being a mess

If you like this, read the manhwa “ cry, even better if you beg” there’s a novel too, it’s extremelyyyy similar except instead of her mother she lives with her uncle who’s the gardener in the ml’s family mansion. And the art is insanely good it’s also set in the republic era, the canary, the fiancée, her picking up the dimes, it’s all so similar

I mean it could’ve worked in different circumstances, maybe with a different actor or with a more comical editing, but the ml reminds me of Jack Torrance in the shining, same smile and all so his facial expressions mostly seemed creepy rather than wtv he intended i had a hard time sympathising

I’m on ep 4 and so far i can’t stand the ml, and i hate how in kdramas now they try too hard to come make them “look” funny through expressions only instead of actually making funny dialogues, it’s just giving that lame boomer/millennial type of comedy where it looks like a comic book frame for frame but my face was still and bored watching this whole bs, and the sml is more suitable for her tbh, but they’re probably gonna nerf him make him do something bad to her or wtv so that being with the ml makes more sense meh, i liked the ost that plays sometimes tho the one with the riffs

By closing the chapter they better mean sending that child r*apist and k*iller straight to prison for the rest of his miserable life, i won’t be watching a single one of his dramas nor any drama with any actors still under goldmedalist, what a gross disgraceful agency

This is so good but she did him so dirty in the preview for ep 4 😭 also i can’t stand this 1-2 episodes per week bs, in cdramas we get 1 episode a day man this is why i can’t keep up with kdramas anymore.. i’ll def watch this one till the end tho

I like the logic of them letting everything out in ep8 so that it’s easier for them to manage their emotions better in the future eps, i hope the ml finds out he hugged the sml and that settles him giving her signs in a sense, and i think his rs with lee mido is the one true love type and he’s been loyal and all that from the start plus feeling indebted to her, my point is that neither of them could ever truly love another as much as they loved eo and that’s why moving on wouldn’t make sense

Clearly being insecure about her failure in addition to ml making her feel like she couldn’t fail and investing in her movie played a huge part in them drifting apart, it made her feel more guilty instead of talking it out properly, that’s her fault again for not communicating it but not saying a thing is also understandable to some level, he should’ve also told her abt his mom’s debt etc, seems like after all those years together they were still walking on eggshells around eo, neither of them wanted to show their weaknesses in front of the other, it shows lack of trust and transparency,

in the other hand neither of them wanting to burden the other and protecting them is a sign of love ofc, what she feels for the sml is lust and an escape from the built up familiarity with ml, which tbf actually adds up with her having a free spirited personality, thus the fear of commitment, marriage, her work situation etc
I don’t wanna root for the cheaters but regarding the sml’s past i hope he finds better than a toxic rs like this one which started bad anyway (and the fact that they showed eo the worst version of themselves gave her a fake sense of security that if you still wanted me after knowing how much of an asshole or loser i am then maybe this could work and I don’t have to put up a fake facade) i hope the leads find their way back to eo without having to go through sleeping with others idk

This type of role is so much more suited for jinmai, rather her previous stiff and shy bella swan quirky roles, she fits the talkative, mature and confident characters much better. I started this without knowing the plot or which actors are in it but i’m glad i did.

It’s not the acting that’s unnatural it’s the production and editing, you can 100% tell the producer and editor only worked on short cdramas before or at least are inspired by them, if you overlook that part the plot is nice and the chemistry is amazing, i give it an 8, mind you i’ve given 10/10 even for cdramas with amazing plots and atrocious cgi
