He is paired with Tan Song Yun in “Against the Current” rumored to be released in August 2026. Will be great because both are such fantastic actors. Filming was almost 6 months last year and went very well. They really enjoyed working together! So Liu Xueyi is working with the best now because he’s awesome and collaborates so well!

Is there any possibility of ever seeing the original 40-episode version of this series? Or even getting to see some of the deleted scenes? Cutting 25 percent of what was originally scripted and filmed and then the remainder reedited potentially compromised the vision and the culmination of this series’s themes. The acting is incredibly strong from the entire principal cast and I can’t help but wonder if additional marvelous scenes were cut. Tan Song Yun’s performance in this series is especially magnificent and missing any of her work is truly unfortunate.

This drama is so good that I’ve watched it several times and especially watch my favorite episodes! Seven Tan is absolutely amazing in Under the Power. Her acting skills in comedy, drama, and action are on full display. And Allen Ren is wonderful as Lu Yi. The chemistry seems to be totally natural and really enhances their performances. Highly recommend this action-filled, sweet romance drama!!
